DBM2 is my favorite haha

 

DBM2 is weird for me. Not really a fan of the album and especially of Johnny but Heat Seeking Ghost Of Sex is my favourite song by them

 

Instrumentally DBMII goes all the way off, along with Jon, but I cannot get over how lazy and uninspired Jonny sounds on it.

 

heat seeking and elder goose are the easy standouts for me. Amongst their catchiest songs.

 

DBM2 has always been one of my faves as well. I don't mind Jonny's half-assed performance. He pretty much blends into the background and it helps me focus more on what the other guys are playing. Plus it means Jon takes the spotlight more than on any other records.

 

Dbm2 is one of their best

 

I don't get how Craig is doing a "half assed performance" on DBM2 just because he's not at 11 each song on the entire record.
That was one of the worst things about Relativity to me. It gets exhausting and everything blends together after a few songs.

Either way, fuck that guy and this band.

 

I don’t think it necessarily sounds like he half assed DBMII but DGD and the producer on the record have said that was certainly the case

 

They announced a tour with Royal Coda, so Kurt is most likely filling in at least for some songs

I'm not fully "fuck this band" as yet, but still not comfortable supporting them until we're sure Tilian is out for good

 

Yeah they said Andrew is doing lead vocals, they got a guy from Veil of Maya to play his guitar parts, Sergio on bass again, and confirmed Kurt would definitely sing on some songs.

 

They sound salty about getting booted from the coheed tour but it’s like…dudes…maybe take a fucking break and get your heads on straight before going back out. They’re a very money driven band I think.

 

If anything Coheed booting them worked out better as they now have a headline tour, and they still had to write a tweet bemoaning getting off the tour lol

 

I like DBMII but for literally everyone else but Jonny. Dude sleepwalked through recordings (aka was not sober) and it shows.

Mess goes HARD on that record though. It’s probably my favorite Mess record if that makes sense.

 

FWIW - it’s been said that he was supposedly on all kinds of shit, showed up to the studio late, and came up with lyrics on the spot or had them handed to him which… all makes sense?

 

Idk if it was mentioned in here and I missed it, but Jonny said in some stream he did recently that he's going on tour with some former members of Emarosa to perform his Emarosa songs but not labeling it as an Emarosa tour at all.

All I have to say is fuck Jonny and fuck those former members for jumping on board with him whoever they are.

 

Well Emarosa is trash all around, they're either performing with Jonny or Bradley.

 

Completely agree but I just find it exceptionally pathetic that former members that kicked him out not begin with are willing to re-join him to do a fake Emarosa tour. Actual Emarosa can piss off too

 

I have been out of touch with Emarosa after they (Bradley) decided he wanted to be a pop star and refused to play any old songs.
Did something else happen?

 

Sorry, I don't really remember exactly what happened except there was some kind of allegations made against him. Hopefully someone else can chime in to explain better

 

Pretty serious grooming allegations, they didn’t address it at all and just went silent for a while then came back with just Bradley and one other member and never addressed the allegations.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. ER White is the other member, who also happens to be the only original member of the band left.

No one from that era of Emarosa is touring with Jonny.

 

The tour announcement alluded to their previous plans falling through and that it “wasn’t their decision”. The tone just felt like they were trying to play the victim without mentioning why those plans fell through and blaming Coheed. Any reputable band doing a headliner would have removed them from the tour.
