Lol Xenoblade games

I don't like either but there are far more that love the games so don't let me dissuade you!

 

Has anyone play Nintendo Switch Sports? I loved Wii sports back in the day and my girlfriend and I like playing tennis and bowling IRL so was wondering if this was worth getting for us to play.

 

I’m on chapter 4 of XC2, need to get going on it before 3 comes out

 

Don’t worry, the game is only super long

 

I’ve had some fun with it. It’s the kind of thing where you know exactly what you’re getting and how much use you’ll get out of it. Bowling and Tennis are EXACTLY as you remember them on Wii, no changes whatsoever. Soccer is my favorite of the new sports they added, the sword fighting one is pretty fun too. But the online is pretty barebones, and there’s not really anything in terms of challenges/progression/unlocks except for new outfits which unlock randomly as you play the online only.

If you think you and the gf will play it regularly enough, and enjoy the Wii sports experience from back in the day, I’d say go for it. But don’t expect anything more than that.

I’m at the last boss in Xenoblade 2. I’m clocked in at 120 hours, trying to do all the side quests/end game bosses before I obliterate the final boss. Still having fun with the game but I’d like to complete the DLC and use the DLC blades some. I should have enough time before the third but life is getting hectic. My girlfriend preordered X3 for me for my birthday, pretty excited. I haven’t touched Triangle Strategy yet even though I got it when it came out, that’s on the list too but will probably come after Xenoblade 3.

 

It’s supposed to be the same really, so I’d say go for it

Are the XC games turned based or no

 

No they're like mmorpg combat

I fucking love the combat in XC2. god I can't wait for XC3.

I love just continuously doing more and more damage due to the different statuses multiplying onto themselves.

 

I’m playing 1 and my only complaint is it’s sometimes hard to see what’s happening because the battles are so busy. Maybe I’m just too used to turn-based combat though. Nonetheless, I love the game so far.

 

the combat in 2 is far simpler, you don't have the menu you have to navigate from left to right, each action is assigned to a dedicated button.

 

I just prefer turn based. I've tried a few with combat like that and hated it.

 

So no direct?
