    Yeah is Skiba still big into the Nazi propaganda stuff?

    Regardless of how you feel about Skibba, you can’t expect coheed to know about a lot of this stuff. Outside of this site I don’t think anyone really considers trio problematic. I don’t see anyone jumping on thrice for playing with them last weekend in Atlantic City.

    Skiba platforms symbols/books without context and doesn’t seem to care who he pals around with and their beliefs. Definitely problematic. I don’t find it on par with what this dance Gavin dance dude did, but I can see why others would. He’s got a huge platform and he doesn’t seem to get that some impressionable young white dudes probably read his IG and find things he posts “cool”.

    I agree with those that said Alkaline Trio is problematic. This is disappointing.

    Skiba is generally kinda problematic in terms of his interests and friends, but I’ve never heard of any serious abuse allegations.

    You dont have to be an abuser to be problematic or be held accountable

    meh... bad move in my opinion, they should have at least gotten a band that was a little closer in genre to DGD... was really excited for coheed to be touring with a prog/post-hardcore band, this pretty much killed all my hype for the show. especially since i already am not a huge fan of the outdoor arena style venue.

    Well I’m going Steve cuz I already bought the tickets and I love Coheed. Though was very excited to see DGD, alas with them gone(for obvious reasons) was hoping for a good replacement. There wasn’t.

    let us weep

    Well Cameron, you didn't say your hype for the show was gone nor did you complain about the venue, so I probably wasn't referring to you ;-)

    I finally gave a listen to a Mothica song. I'm liking this! Not something I would've expected to open a Coheed show though

    Yeah she's not bad!
    All of her songs are super short, too.

    We reach for the longest shadow

    I took a break from this for a couple reasons: I didn’t want to wear it out before it even came out officially, and I got COVID and the isolation/quarantine put me in a weird head space and I didn’t want to associate this album with that time.

    I've listened to it a couple times in the last 24 hours now, and I’m still blown away by it, in all its 128kbps glory. Love Murder One has especially been doing it for me lately. Such a fun album, and I can’t wait for everyone holding out to hear it so we can have more convos about it, and I can’t wait to hear it in HQ. Would be cool if the vinyl came right around release day.

    This is the best entry point to become a Coheed fan since their earlier work imo. Hoping this is relatively huge for them.

    100%. I don't know if I agree that it will blow established Coheed fans away across the board (I think it will be polarizing for that group) but it will be loved by people who were casual fans of Coheed up to this point.
