It's called the Democrats of the 1990s and it basically lead to mass incarceration, a tech economic bubble, AND set up the foundations of the housing bubble a decade later that almost took down the entire global economy.

But other than that...

 

I am expecting a positive test any day now due to direct, maskless contact with someone who tested positive the day after we had two days of direct, maskless contact with them. And it's also just ALL around me right now at school. We've had 21 kids in the school test positive this week, and a few of them are students of mine. It's literally everywhere right now. I feel more hemmed in now than I did during Omicron, because at least back then people were just staying home AND we had a mask mandate in place.

ALl that being said...I have made it this far without officially having it. But I'm also definitely more careful than probably like 90% of Americans. I avoid indoors at all costs, will only go to the grocery store later at night when it's mostly empty, continue to mask even outdoors at times if crammed in with people like at the wedding I was just at where I had the maskless exposure I mentioned above, etc.

I will continue to maintain that I had it in late january/February of 2020 before tests were available. The symptoms i had, the 5 week on and off sicknesses, the now-what-i-think-was long covid symptoms 6-8 weeks after that, the negative flu test, etc....just hard to believe it wasn't COVID.

Fortunately after isolating from eachother for 4 days, I & my immediate family are still testing negative for COVID. We had a scare after my dad drove in a car and worked with someone who later tested positive, but right now it looks like we're all safe & still COVID-virgins.

 

MAke sure you keep checking for at least 5-7 days. I'd probably go 10-14 just to be safe, but.

 

It's gonna get summer heat wave hot here on Saturday. They're calling for a high of 96 right now. In May. Insane.

 

Everyone on here typing out that they haven't gotten COVID yet is much, much less superstitious than I am.....

 

Meanwhile, we're expecting anywhere from 4-8 inches of snow in Denver tomorrow.

lol yep. Colorado's weird. We usually get one of these in May, but this is later than usual.

 

I dunno if I’ve had Covid or not, I had a minor chest cold this past winter but I didn’t have many symptoms beyond coughing. Beyond that, I really haven’t been sick much in the past couple years *feverishly knocks on wood*
