This thing is going to end up in my top five of the year. Maybe higher than that - it’s making a late run to the top. Honestly, it doesn’t feel overly long to me, even with 20 songs and 70 minutes. I’m glad they didn’t make any cuts.

 

I love this album, there’s honestly not a dud on here for me. Given how much the singles all grew on me I’m excited to see the whole album do the same.

The one thing I will say though is, you hear Billy talking about wanting to make a modern, accessible record while at the same time filling it with the oddest, most impenetrable, grammatically nonsensical lyrics I’ve maybe ever heard lol

 

I feel like if the Pumpkins were to ever have another gigantic hit, it would be The Hidden Sun. That thing is just a pop masterpiece. Although like much of this album, I think the lyrics would really hold it back from doing any business

Really sad reading through these comments. Glad some people loved it, but overall is seems like it wasn’t well received :(

 

I will say - after my barrage of posts in here , the record grew on me quite a bit. It’s definitely pleasant enough and not worth the hate that some gave it.

That makes me so happy to hear. It is hard to narrow down to that many with so many classic SP songs to choose from but I’ll say
