South eastern PA is very much a weird mixture of density and woods or empty land. It’s hard to describe it without it sounding dumb, but It’s like….I’ll be in suburb and then woods. They kept a lot of growth in their neighborhoods.

Last night one of my best childhood friend who is pro choice compared the vaccine requirement for his old job to state governments trying to ban abortions. Saying it's his body so should be his choice. He's an ex NYPD cop who got let go / retired because he refused the vaccine and is now moving to Orlando to be a cop. I love the guy but it's really heartbreaking every time I see him how much he's changed. I truly think becoming a cop ruined him as a person. It's honestly why we drifted apart in the last 10 years despite being really close when we were younger. I honestly hate so much whenever I go back to long Island because I always deal with old friends or family with shitty views and it's just so tiresome at this point

 

I know it’s just bad faith but it still amazes me they can’t acknowledge the basic difference of abortion not being able to spread to other people, but viruses you refuse to get vaccinated for can

 

The Fetterman news sucks btw. Really hope it doesn’t effect him/his health and his race

The two things I can think he sucks on, one is something I kind of assume about most white guys his age, and the fact that he speaks out about racial justices issues now makes me feel better about maybe believing he’s learned a little bit….and the other one, well…I’m just gonna have to hope he’s only paying lip service to fracking and doesn’t actually do anything to expand it or stop renewable investment if he gets elected. Best I can get out of PA at this point I assume.

 

in the debate he was pretty direct and adamant that his stance was not to issue new permits or expand current fracking initiatives while investing and exploring ways to transition jobs and reliance towards renewables. not great, but he's got a statewide election to win, so nothing surprising.

I don't know as much about Kenyatta, but I don't think I'd be mad. Lamb is complete trash, as we all know.

 

yeau from what little I know about Kenyatta he seems good too, just might not be ready for the big leagues yet. Hopefully he can continue to build his rep and maybe snag a house seat or something in the near future

 

FUCK, my dad had to go to the Minnesota Republican Convention on a business trip (he's a reporter) and he just got back. Of course no one else was wearing masks except for him and a few other press crew members, and it was filled to the brim with anti-vaxxers.

Now he's starting to feel COVID symptoms and his coworkers are testing positive, so we all have to quarantine.

 

wasn’t the convention this weekend? Would Covid symptoms actually appear that quickly? I hope it’s just a cold.
