Excited for 11 and 13 after seeing those song lengths. Hoping for at least one fucking epic song.

 

I’m good with this. I loved Unheavenly Creatures but I think some songs could have had a small amount cut off their length

 

How did I know know they were on Roadrunner?!

 

Interesting, so the rumors of this being a shorter album were true. I’m curious how this’ll sound as a whole album of relatively shorter songs.

Still can’t believe this is only part two of a five part release schedule.

release date got pushed back to June 24th due to "vinyl manufacturing, COVID shutdowns in China, and supply chain disruptions".

 

I'll never understand the need for the digital release to be delayed solely because of vinyl delays. Just drop the album on May 27 and the vinyl can ship when it's ready.

I'm sure it's an Underoath situation, and they want alllll the numbers that first day, but it's still frustrating. I would've guessed this is only coming out as late as it is because all of this stuff was already accounted for. Guess not.

 

It’ll affect first day sales by a large margin which is extremely important to bands.

 

You have to figure that most of the sales are already locked in as vinyl preorders though right?

This already feels like a massively long rollout. Really bummed if this is being pushed to June.

 

From what I know it doesn’t count the preorders, it has to be week of release and sent. Lots of bands have been doing this, and if they don’t it affects their numbers, making the sales look poorer in the eye of the labels. It sucks, but I get why bands wait until they can release physical.

 

Don't blame them at all bc they're playing the same game as everybody else. Music industry has gotta find a better way to do this. Can't keep having albums delayed for a year after the final product is complete

Yep! I saw it there but haven’t seen it anywhere outside of that post so wasn’t sure if it’s just vinyl or digital
