Would love to hear an orchestral version of "Thanks to You." Nobody would see it coming.

 

Would love some deeper cuts, but I'm tempering my expectations since they call it a "Best of." The track list I just created is basically all their singles

 

he did sorta confirm every silence was gonna be a part of this when last year he said he had "future plans" for that song (which i am quite excited for bc that song is incredible and a top 10 copeland track for me)

 

Doesn't seem to have any new songs if they've mentioned bonus content being some isolated orchestra tracks or something. But we'll see! Don't want to get my hopes up. But well, there are supposed to be surprises on that as well, some odd choices, so who knows - goinf by singles would be pretty obvious.

 

That's possible too. Was it the one that he thought the lyrics were bad? Funny!

 

I don't think new songs would be considered "bonus content" though, they would be part of the standard release. It's a pretty common practice for Greatest Hits albums to contain a new song or two

 

I enjoyed seeing the words "next record" and "won't be long":

 

Yeah, I guess you're right - just would seem weird for them to talk about instrumental bonus tracks intead of mentioning there's some new tunes. But maybe it's supposed to be a surprise - which I'll let myself have, no hopes for now ;D

 

yeah every silence is the one where he didn't like the lyrics which uh they just sound like standard copeland lyrics to me so idk what his issue with them was lol. either way a beautiful beautiful song musically and i am very excited to hear what it'll sound like with this full orchestration

 

I hope they save any new songs for the next record, which hopefully won't be long.

 

as perfect of a song as Should You Return is, i'd love to see a newer version that's both grandiose and experimental. like a Blushing-esque version of that song with a full orchestra. i remember Aaron said a long time ago that the vocals on the verses are actually layered harmonies rather than a vocoder, and part of me wants to see him take the risk and try it with a vocoder instead. that synthetic sound would mark a nice contrast from the more natural strings.

 

I’m hyped for the full album. Whoever mentioned Thanks to You gets extra scene points. I have a feeling this version of Coffee may grow on me being part of a larger album with orchestral vibes — i’m most likely just letting the nostalgia factor impact my opinion

 

Glad to see him say that. Very excited for this but was hoping it wouldn’t take the place of their 3-4 year cycle for a new record.

Yo, that venue is AMAZING, I went once while visiting family in Tennessee and still remember it. Anyone who’s able to make it out to this, I’m sure it’ll be incredible.

Big shoes to fill there with Chin Up, Fire Eater, Love Affair, and Should You Return. Those are some of my all time faves.
