Man one listen through and I don't dislike it I guess but it's really not Silverstein to me. Will give it a chance to grow but meh. Last two don't do much for me. Dead Reflection obliterates the last two and that's lower tier Silverstein for me. Shipwreck, Wind Shifts, Alive. Those are the best for me.

Checks album spine, says Silverstein. Guess what it’s Silverstein!

Meh, it's ok, mostly pretty forgettable. I liked the opener, Ultraviolet, and the closer, the rest I can't really remember what it sounded like. I'll be the sole person here to say I was much more into the last album

I'm biased because they're my favorite band, but every Silverstein album is at least an 8/10 for me. Like y'all are dissecting what you like and don't like, and talking about what's "really heavy" and Shane's melodic habits, and I'm just sitting here like:

    "New 'stein. Nice!"

Only had the chance to spin the whole album once so far and it’s not bad. Need more time to digest before I decide how good it is for them. Did anyone else feel like Mike from TDWP was underutilized in his song? Was stoked for the feature and then I barely even noticed it.

Not such a big fan of this new album.

I absolutely loved A Beautiful Place to Drown after not being into anything between that and the masterpiece that is A Shipwreck In The Sand.

This album gets better with each listen. Better than the last record, significantly better than fartwater Dead Reflection. Not close to Wind Shifts, I Am Alive or Shipwreck though. I can see this new one becoming my go-to Silverstein album, has some good hooks, riffs and a variety of stuff going on.

It's too early for me to start ranking this with their other albums but I agree it is consistent. Don't love the closer though.

ABPTD and Dead Reflection are my two favorites. This one hasn't clicked for me yet.

silverstein are an interesting band because they'll release concept records with a lot of thought put into them or release records that just satisfy trends. if you could build a perfect silverstein record with 15 tracks spanning throughout their discography, what would it be consisted of?

Trying to focus less on hits and more on encompassing songs that best achieve different things they do, I arrive at:

    Giving Up
    Idea of March
If You Could See Into My Soul
    A Shipwreck In The Sand
    Good Luck With Your Lives
    In Memory Of
    Massachusetts
    In A Place of Solace
    Departures
    Je Me Souviens
    Ghost
    Aquamarine
    Shape Shift
    Don’t Wait Up

deluxe edition would have (the ones that made the first cut):
    Discovering The Waterfront
    You’re All I Have
    Stand Amid The Roar
    One Last Dance
    Dancing On My Grave
    Late On 6th
    Lost Positives
    Where Are You
    Cold Blood

Also new record continues to grow with each listen. It’s very good.

Nope, I feel the same. I liked those three songs also. The last record has found a consistent spot in my rotation and I think is way stronger than this one overall.

Been listening to Misery all weekend and yeah… I think this just beat Dead Reflection for my favorite record of theirs.

The only tracks I view as slightly weak are It’s Over and Bankrupt but even those are better than most of the songs off the last record so I can’t complain.

    Quick thoughts:

A Beautiful Place to Drown > Dead Reflection > Misery Made Me.

I need more time with Misery.

The animated album cover on Apple Music is pretty cool.

I personally think this is one of their weaker records after a few listens. It's Silverstein, so I'll keep trying but nothing has really grabbed me here.

I love DR a lot, it grew on me a ton, but Shipwreck/Broken are both classic.
