SRS says he didn’t renew his contract, so he could possibly show up as early as next week if that’s the case.

 

I don’t disagree at all in terms of usage. AEW is still unbelievably disappointing in that department. But I don’t think that’s a factor in Tony’s mind when it comes to signing people, even if it should be. And in terms of the talent, I think if you’re offered more money, better matches and a larger stage (in terms of viewership) in AEW vs better utilization in Impact, it’s probably hard to turn down AEW.

 

Yeah, couldnt tell if him and Dakota were "they were cut because they didnt re-sign" or if their contracts were up at the same time as these cuts.

Either way, I'd be stunned if we dont see him by DoN

Oh for sure, but, it strikes me as a little odd that Athena hasnt been signed, for example. Think Tony might be well aware of how little space he has there...and Toni at 26 is just impossible to pass up

 

honestly AEW could get away with the weekly WWE schedule on their next TV deal - Dynamite could easily be 3 hours long and Rampage 2 and both would still be incredibly thrilling shows

 

I dont think any 3hr wrestling show can work...even as good as AEW is. There's just too much time to fill.

But man would 2 2-hr shows be a nice change.

 

you're probably right but I also think WWE is just bad at booking shows.

Oh, WWE is real bad for sure, but, just from a killing the crowd perspective, Im not sure you can go a 3hr wrestling TV show and not have significantly more promo time than AEW usually does.

But Rampage often feels so rushed; and something like Darby v Swerve should easily get 15-20mins, so a 2hr Rampage on at 8pm would be clutch.

3 hour Dynamite could absolutely work because it would be at the very least 2hr 15min of wrestling, not 90 minutes of recap videos.

 

They would have to make Rampage a live show also though or something. Dynamite tapings are already pushing 5 hours when they have to tape Rampage and Dark and Elevation on the same day.

 

Oh they are feeding Shotzi to Ronda

 

Darby/Swerve needed to be 10 minutes longer but it was still good

 

I would pay a premium to never see or hear Shawn Spears again.

 

3 hours is too long. It’s so rare for anything to be 3 hours wrong and good.

 

I'm glad they are doing something with Kiera Hogan now. Still kinda weird they turned Red Velvet out of the blue like that though lol
