Asshole and his party have been working hard to ensure this 2nd-round matchup with Le Pen for five+ years. They are themselves largely responsible for mainstreaming Le Pen and her ilk in unprecedented ways — a tradeoff they considered worthy of winning this election.

Funnily enough my HS football coach used to have us do a prayer after every practice and game. He would tell us pray however we want, or don’t pray and just meditate/think, but that he would say the Lord’s Prayer and all were welcome to say it as well. Kinda knew it was unconstitutional at the time and now as a gov teacher definitely know it haha.

Activist right wing court def about to overturn that though, and fuck up the AP government curriculum in the process because one of our 15 required SC cases and the related cases to that one that they have us use is about prayer in school.

 

Also very not the point but my HS football coach was literally the nicest/coolest dude ever and never pressured us once. Dude is a legit hero around here and when he dies they’re not gonna be able to find a place big enough for all the old players and students that are going to want to come pay their respects.

 

there was never any school sanctioned sport-prayer shit going on at my school but the fellowship of christian athletes extracurricular club was run by several varsity coaches, mostly football
