Cancelling student debt less than 2 months before the election sounds like a no brainer

I can explain. I witnessed everything.

Contender posted the link like four or five times, and I assume popdisaster did the same as a joke in response, but failed to consider that Contender might fix their error, which means popdisaster now just looks crazy.

  7. Highest risk groups being vaxxed will lead to numbers like that (base rate!), it’s kinda a weird way to cut the data though, cause it makes you think getting vaxxed isn’t worth it.

Yeah it’s a little misleading but I think there is an important point to be made which is that for higher risk groups catching covid is still dangerous and having the vaccine currently doesn’t justify continuing to spread covid.

Yeah I think the main point is we keep hearing how vaccination just makes it a mild cold/flu but even vaccinated people are dying by the tens of thousands still. This is still a very dangerous virus even with the vaccine.

relatedly, I don’t think this article can be shared enough. Any other well known viruses known for killing T cells?

One of the things Biden does well/why people like him.

But young people aren’t gonna care as much when you’re not reforming college costs/loan debt and allowing new permits on federal land

On the flip side, this gives more context. Not sure if the court order is a valid excuse or not? Anyone know?

yeah, some of the things he says/what other people say he says about grief and losing a loved one and etc, I feel like he definitely did some therapy/grief counseling after Beau died (and I’m sure after his wife/daughter as well), and I give him a lot of respect for that. I mean yeah maybe he just has some sage wisdom too but he def comes off as a guy who went to therapy and took it to heart, not something you can say for a lot of 75 year old dudes being willing and able to do that. Good for him.

  18. he should work on talking to all the parents whose kids went to jail because of him in his next session

One of the reasons Biden did so well in the primaries despite questionable record and plans and constant attacks was because of his empathy and ability to use his own experiences to relate to voters. People like hearing politicians get more personal and talk about that kind of stuff. Bernie never wanted to do that.

From what I understand it’s not really a valid excuse. A Louisiana district court did hold that some leases need go forward or be better justified in not doing so, so even there the admin has room to fight the appeal or go back and justify, but also a DC Court gave them an out (thanks to enviro groups fighting a lease decision) by requiring a better analysis on climate impacts before leasing can go forward: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/27/climate/federal-court-drilling-gulf.html

so I may be missing something but from what I can tell this was a premature decision at best
