Damn, what's the deal with these teams paying their players the past two days. Next thing you know, the Orioles are going to extend Mullins or something wild like that

 

It's the Orioles we all know that's not gonna happen

 

It bums me out so fucking much that this has become the normal mindset now.

I'm not even embarrassed to admit bandwagon fandom of other teams anymore, because it's more embarrassing that the Orioles don't seem to want to field a winning baseball team.

 

It wasn't even THAT long ago when they were good! I don't keep close tabs on them really but you're right I hardly see them even trying to get better via trade or Free Agency

 

Yeah I was about to pull out the statistic about them having the most regular season wins in the American League between 2012 and 2016 (a TRUE statistic) - but shit now that's ..... 5+ seasons ago.

They started tearing down that core midway through 2017 and the rebuild has been ongoing ever since.

I know they've had a few setbacks with Adley Rutschman, but it's still a total bummer to see Torkelson, Witt, and Julio Rodriguez all making opening day rosters, and Rutschman about to be 24 and still hasn't seen the big leagues.
