  1. Then it seems you don't like the thread. Don't read it then. I truly don't care. There's dozens in this forum alone you can read if you want.

Because I want to. Because I find a level of joy and freedom from anxiety by posting and commenting on election news, and I made a website with a place to do that, and this is my outlet for it.

uh so this weird ass Anonymous style ad came up during The Late Show last night, made it seem like the broadcast was being hacked. Something about the FDA. Anyone know what this is about? Seems like it might of been political action group or something like that with a weird as hell concept for a political awareness ad.

  11. Remember when who Obama'a pastor was was a huge scandal? Somehow Bannon and Jones and Ailes are barely covered.

  12. My guess: he'll say it at the debates to get press credit for a "pivot."

He was an infamous user back in the ap.net days. Getting on others' nerves is an understatement.

I need to stop posting anything political on Facebook and adhere to cute pictures of my baby because I posted this link and the responses I got were just frustrating as hell. A sample (from a white guy I knew in high school who was feeling argumentative per the usual I guess):

"Pretty sure she got blasted with pepper spray because she was harassing and hitting that man."

    To which I replied:

"The article states he touched her breast and that was why she responded the way she did. On top of that, it doesn't negate the use of the n-word here or the frequent use of the b-word which I personally don't think men should use."

    Then I got this reply:

"It's never made clear in any of those videos that anyone used the term (and here he wrote out the full n word)"

    My reply:

"...did you watch the third video down? It's perfectly clear."

    His reply:

"Okay so he called her a communist (here he wrote out the full n word again), but that was after she was sprayed so it has nothing to do with the altercation."

At this point I felt uncomfortable with that word showing up so frequently on one of my posts from a white dude so I deleted his comment and let him know why. Then I got this:

"I'm not censoring myself, so that's your prerogative. You already read the word. You know what the word is. I really don't see what the problem is. To reiterate, she was called the things that she was called (since I'm not allowed to quote it faithfully for some reason) by someone else as she was already leaving. Clearly that use of language did not contribute to the altercation."

At this point I was too busy to get into it with this guy until I got this from another white guy from high school:

"Was it deplorable? when this woman assaulted first the man and then that man gave her a shot of pepper spray to back her off.... got to wonder? if this woman learned to keep her hands to herself after being sprayed... seems to me this deplorable?? Man defended himself against any further physical attack.... seems to have worked judging from the video"

Then the first white guy liked this second white guy's comment and no one else stepped in so I posted this:

"To be overly clear here, it is not simply the pepper spray I am referring to. Any attempt to cover up the language being used by supporters in this crowd is spurious at best. It's right there in the title of the article. If you feel that a girl being groped by a man, followed by that same girl calling the man out for it and then lashing out in anger because of the continued insults, warrants said grown man macing her and then hurling gross, racist and sexist insults at her (and yes, I am aware it wasn't just him saying those things, which doesn't really make this any better), then that's up to you."

And just now I got this in response from white guy #1:

"I don't actually know that she was groped, Tim. What I do know is that a woman, standing in close proximity with other people, accused that man of touching her chest. I also know that it's not outside the realm of possibility for a woman to accuse someone of sexual harassment or assault that was never committed. I'll refer you to "Hugh Mungus".

And he posted that video and now I am done. I have to stop bothering with Facebook.

His reasoning was because he didn't want people to be talking about it and rather focus on other issues. If he simply answered "Yes, he was born in America" maybe that would happen. But now, his answer is already the big headline in the news. CNN and MSNBC were both talking about it for a good 10 minutes.

The latest Fox News national poll is the first poll I have seen where Clinton actually fairs better when 3rd parties are added. She's +1 4 way, but down 1 in a head to head match up. However, in the latest CBS poll she is down 4 points in a 4 way race, but only down 2 in head to head.
