I would be very stoked if it was Miley tbh but I also really doubt it

I'd watch Miley but world bail so fast if The Strokes. One of the all time worst Coachella sets I've ever seen. Ironically I only saw it because they were immediately before Kanye.

I’d bail for Miley and be front row for The Strokes. Neither are happening though lol

So whats the realistic headliner pool look like...

Justin Bieber - On tour, has a production ready to go; already has W1 clear (prob to guest at Giveon's or Danbiel Caesar's set), would require them to reschedule a couple of his shows on W2\

Tyler, The Creator - Has a festival ready set, however has been vocal about his dislike for Coachella crowds, also played a TON of fests/shows lately; reportedly turned down an offer to headline this year before they agreed with Ye

Doja Cat - Already on the lineup, easy bump to headliner; can she handle a spot this big? Reviews from her recent SA dates were filled with talk about her poor lip syncing.

Swedish House Mafia - Already on the lineup and probably closing Main on their night, however their arena tour has tanked and there's not a ton of excitement around their set

The Strokes - Just played the SA Lolla's, ready to go, no dates conflicting

Miley Cyrus - See above; never played Coachella

Metallica - Have a show ready to go, Lars has expressed interest about paying Coachella in the past

My Chemical Romance - Already have some sort of relationship with GV; may be put off by their last experience working with Coachella and being asked to take a 2nd line spot

Pearl Jam - Has relationship with AEG/GV; plan to be active in the spring, not much production required for a PJ set

Red Hot Chili Peppers - New album just dropped, played some warm up gigs in LA last week

Nine Inch Nails - Gearing up for festival dates this Spring; possibly have show ready to since its debuting at Shaky Knees at the end of the month

Silk Sonic - Coming off big grammy wins; LN has them tied to a Vegas-exclusive contract, would require big $$$ from GV to get an exception

Drake - No live dates booked but a massive name that could take Ye's spot and keep hip hop on the top line; VERY lackluster set last time he headlined

Arcade Fire - New album in May, just played 3 live shows in NYC; would be their first major show since pre-covid

Who else that is active or about to be active that we're missing here? Also, is there a chance we see different Sun headliners for W1 and W2?

I don't think NIN or Arcade Fire are particularly relevant as a Coachella headliner anymore, as much as I am fans of both those bands.

Absolutely, but the options are pretty slim for acts that can put a show together in 10 days.

Imagine if they don't announce anyone until you get to the fields and they hand out the set times booklet and you see it there.

Or "TBD" and you just show up to see

I’m more upset I was robbed of a classic drake set just because everyone wanted frank

Paul McCartney has both weekends open and is getting ready to tour in a couple weeks…if they really wanted to break the bank…

Lol. MCR aren’t doing a comeback (again) at just Coachella without the hype.

Ye was getting $5.5M for two shows, with how MCR priced their tour, money is obviously a big reason for them reuniting.

I refuse to believe that they didn't have any idea that the most mercurial man on the planet might be unreliable haha

They absolutely knew. Production deadlines for Coachella have passed. They would've had to already been in talks with his team regarding what would be needed from a staging aspect. If it's true that he didn't even bother rehearsing or preparing a production then GV/AEG would've known awhile ago.

On a sold-out LN tour, they're not going to let him do a AEG/GV event without them paying a premium. Same situation they'll run into with The Weeknd and Silk Sonic.

It was ??? question marks and it turned out to be a few songs from asap rocky and lil uzi vert and then a classic hits set from drake but they booed him off stage
