SO wife and I played today - and had different words from the same NYtimes web site.

Same exact thing happened to me and my wife this morning. Her word seemed to be the "correct" one for today, my word was...something else entirely.

Got it in six. Had 4 letters after the second guess.

Saw a lot of people get stuck in a loop with both the second and fourth letter today, which I think is a new one. I was a bit scared after I was only missing the fourth letter after my second guess with several options left, but got the right one on my third guess. Five 3's in a row for me and now (finally!) have more 3's than 5's in this game. Which probably means that the next two will be 5's but I'll be happy with this moment for now

6/6 because I got stuck in a loop. Used my 5th guess to eliminate a bunch of letters

 

6 today. Playing on hard mode is a bummer for words like this. I think I might have actually been completely out of words to use by the final guess though so I wasn't panicking by that point.
