I have! It has a lot going on as far as flavor goes, it feels like 100 different flavors hit your tastebuds. That probably sounds like it would be very strange, but it's really dang good.

The older I get, the more I realize how substandard Sam Adams is. I bought a 12 pack of Summer the other day because I figured it would be one of those beers I'd always have a soft spot for.

Anybody want to come take the other 11?

  8. Interesting. I generally stray from drinking Sam Adams, but the cold snap was something I really got into this winter. Goes great with dinner.

I'm on the Raleigh/Knightdale fringe. Yeah Pony is a really cool place, it looks kind of like a small compound but has a great outdoor space

yeah that grapefruit sculpin is dangerous, goes down like soda water. The expensive price tag keeps me from drinking 4 in a row

Definitely interested, but I don't know what I can offer you that you can't get. If you've got any ideas, let me know!

    Stoneface is pretty good.

My boss just gave me a Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin to try.

  16. I like it a lot. It has a citrusy taste to it, so it's not bitter.

Going into the spring season when it's slowing fading into summer here in the Midwest, I like to drift away from the heavy porters and stouts-- I've been guzzling them all winter (I live in Iowa, it's damn cold). Here are a few beers I've been digging lately:

    1. Lagunitas Citrusinensis
    2. Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin
    3. Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat

and I just said I am fading away from stouts, but one I strongly recommend for this time of year that's just so bold with flavor but somewhat light is:

    4. Bell's Brewery Cherry Stout

I wound up getting 4 bottles of KBS. Is it worth cellaring or should I drink it fresh?

  20. I have celiac so I have to drink gluten free beers. I really love beer so when I first got diagnosed I was like aw crap but I've tried a good amount of GF beers that I highly recommend:

    Bard's Tale Beer
    Glutenberg Beer
    Estrella Damm Daura

and....Omission Lager (yellow bottle) isn't bad but that one is gluten removed and for me after 2+ I feel less than desired. Omission Pale Ale (blue bottle) has become more mainstream lately. I've found it in Safeway's and Target's across California and that one has more of a kick.

I just tried New Belgium's Glutiny Beer which is also gluten removed. It's pretty heavy so I probably won't be returning to it but the taste is quite good.

A light gluten free beer worth seeing if you like is RedBridge. It's made by Anheuser-Busch and it's really light and in most major grocery stores.

Lastly, the strongest gluten free beer I've had and really enjoyed has been St. Peter's Sorgham Beer. It also comes in the coolest bottle.

Ok I'm done haha. I could write about gluten free beers all day if you let me ;-)

Drink at least one fresh, but yes, it's worth cellaring.

How many of the beers you guys talk about are available in the UK? Really interested in checking some of these out.

I'm really enjoying everything by Brewdog at the minute. Can't get enough of the Punk IPA
