Dearest Creatures,

Deep apologies for the long silence. We are still reeling from the fallout of the tour and have had to scramble to make sure we don't fall into further financial distress. For the time being we are not able to regularly work as a group on the patreon so until further notice we won't be delivering the usual monthly content that have become the norm for the last 2 years.

The Patreon will however stay accessible and we will continue to update it with news, legacy material such as photos, videos, unreleased songs, etc and will continue to add what we can individually. Any continued support is greatly appreciated and will help us navigate this period of uncertainty with less stress.

When there is more to be said you will be the first to hear it.

Completely understandable, but it doesn’t sound great. I heard someone reference on Reddit that Anthony barely spoke to some of the guys in the band. Does anyone remember that interview where he said that? Was in the last few months I think.

Would anyone be surprised if they called it quits in the next few months?

 

I mean, he did an interview with Loudwire before the most recent EP where he had this to say:

But I don’t think that’s very different from a lot of bands probably. I think having to be around the same people to write, record, and tour for years and years and years would probably change some friendships, but I’ve always been under the impression that everyone still gets along with each other

 

Yeah and I don't get the sense that this is a NEW thing, he makes it sound like that's just how his relationship with certain members always has been, which is fine

 

I mean, I’m in a band nowhere even close to the same scale as Circa and I can tell you for a fact that I’m way closer to one of my bandmates and talk with him frequently as opposed to the other two. It just be like that sometimes, ya know?

 

Yeah that's how it is in a band sometimes, you can feel really close to someone when you're making music and then not really talk to them much outside of that. .

 

also if that’s a recent interview he was probably in the throes of a relapse and me personally I isolate from fucking everyone in that state

 

It most likely was because that was before they cancelled the tour

 

Can confirm. I’m in a band with Dinkleberg and he won’t say a fucking word to me.

 

Concerning but maybe things are just in a weird place for the band right now.

It does look like Anthony is gonna play Swanfest so assuming he's up for playing/touring hopefully Circa can get a new tour in place to help promote the new EPs at some point this year.

EDIT:

This sounds like that announcement about Anthony's recent issues wasn't something he really wanted out there. Though maybe he means it had to be public so the tour cancellation could be explained properly?

Yeah I hope someone got it on video, but I do not blame a soul for living in the moment for that one. That’s special stuff.

 

anthony and lucy walked by me outside before the show and i heard anthony say to someone he was with "yeah ive been here a few times" but i didnt see his face but i knew the voice and i saw lucy and of course she looked very familiar to me but i was like "why would anthony green say that unless he was joking, but thats a normal thing for a normal guy to say so maybe it wasnt him," anyway my girlfriend was like omg thats so cute i would love to bring our daughter to a show when we have kids, anyway we went inside and apparently lucy said hi to my girlfriend in the bathroom again us not realizing thats who it was my gf was just like omg that cute little girl from outside said hi to me. so touche come back out for the encore and say 'this is for our friends in philly' and start playing act appalled and i was going crazy already like omg how cool then of course anthony stepped out and i ran up to the barricade as fast as i could right in front of him and of course IT WAS OBVIOUSLY THE DUDE WHO WALKED PAST ME OUTSIDE and later i saw his insta story with lucy and i was like yep that was them lol
