This update is so good. Group threads for bs back and forth will be next level now. Posting songs and videos. Doing emoji shortcuts. It's seriously way cool.

 

and will definitely be way more annoying than before. but yeah, it is cool that there's more options for fun little things.

 

Anyone know if theres a way to reduce the size of the text in the podcast app?

 

I think it listens to the system wide setting.

 

I have a 6 and I'm terrified to update. Someone reassure me please.

This. I think the issue was only on 6S and up.

 

Speaking of podcasts, Overcast just went from the patreon model to free with ad banners then $9.99 per year for no ads and some other stuff bonuses for paid members. idk if I want to drop $10. I mean, I use the app so much I might as well. I don't take advantage of the smart speed playback since I can't stand the unnatural nature of the silence gaps it takes away. I'm not trying to cram as many podcasts through my brain in a given day or anything. Just casual entertainment and enrichment for me.

 

I tried Overcast and didn't really see what the big appeal was. I never used the smart playback, and skipping to sections through the notes was useless to me because I really only listen to podcasts when I'm driving. The regular Apple app has been more than good for me.

 

I use a 6, I have yet to encounter any problems.

 

One of my favorite features. With fingerprint i only have to press home once and it automatically unlocks vs pressing home, swiping and going back to home. Just feels so seamless this way.

Good chance I'm grabbing the next iphone release after this one. I want that haptic feedback Home button

 

Used iTunes/Apple Music today after the update and it keeps not playing the album in full that I have playing. So weird. Anyone else have this happen? It'll jump to random other songs, even though I don't have shuffle on. @Jason Tate you on the Sierra beta? Wondering if that could be the problem.

 

I'm not using the beta. Too scared. Haha. Too much work!

 

3D Touch.

 

Crazy talk. I've saved something like three days of my life using Smart Speed.

 

I remember trying it out and not liking it for whatever reason. I think I thought it sounded weird and unnatural so I stopped using it. It definitely made a difference, but just not one I really cared for.

 

Yeah I got that. You can just force touch to quick respond which is cool. Also I now realize you can swipe a text right(like before) to go to the message app. Don't know how my brain forgot about that. To caught up in the new ways.

Also I may go back and tryout the smart playback again on overcast. Time saving isn't usually a bad thing.

 

I've saved almost nine days. I've never thought about it from that perspective. Wild

 

Does anyone know what happened and/or how to get the music controls back on the control center for ios10? Ever since I downloaded it, it's been gone and it's very annoying having to go to the Spotify app to pause

 

You have to swipe right while in control center.

 

It's not gone. Control center has cards now. Swipe to the left and music is the second card.

 

Anyone having trouble opening messages in iOS 10? I can see it in my Notification Center but when I touch them nothing happens but works when I 3D Touch them

 

Haha thankfully it hasn't been too buggy. I ended up closing it and started over. Seems fine now.

 

You can swipe the message right to open it like you always could. I think it means only 3D Touch to reply from its wording.
