IMO: It gets the criticism because of the math. It's easier to blame the math, which someone can say would have directly changed the outcome, versus blaming specifics or nuances of a campaign that may or may not have changed the outcome. Occam's razor: it's the easiest thing to blame.

I think we can just say point blank that white America is racist regardless of voting habits. I really hope no one was under the illusion that no Clinton supporter is racist and that it's just the Trump supporters, but I suppose it's easier for someone to fool themselves into believing such if they don't experience racism on a regular basis. Idk this poll is just not newsworthy to me at all haha

 

I think it speaks to this idea that A)Donald Trump's constituency is solely problematic and B) that her and her supporters are the sole thing that stands between us and fascism.

 

I think my argument would be that it's uniquely problematic, not solely.

 

I'm speaking mostly to the narrative espoused by liberal outlets and others. But, I would agree, despite drawing from the same white supremacist well.

 

On a semi-related note, someone told me that Trump is going to send me back to Africa today. I sent him home without pay.

 

It's a type of problematic that didn't crop up out of no where. Liberals have a lot to do with the forging of racial resentment that's bolstering Trump. I just wish I heard more from Democrats on that.

 

It just comes off to me as willfully ignorant for anyone to believe either of those scenarios.
