I did not think a (potential) Midtown reunion would be happening this year

 

doing a discography run through today... which is easy because the 3 albums only come out to a bit over 2 hours runtime ha

This is already surprising enough with Gabe's very vocal aversions to touring and recording anymore music (despite giving us 2021's best song with Cobra's "Party With You" - don't @ me) so at this point, with how crazy the world is, I'm not ruling anything out. The safe answer is that its vinyl repressings with maybe a few unreleased tracks, a la the Cobra hype in the fall, but who the hell knows? We all know @Jason Tate knows something and is playing coy which leads me to think its more than that so maybe they're doing a huge tour, maybe they pumped out a record in lockdown, I don't know but this hype reminds me of the old AP days and I am 1000% here for it.

 

Party With You is from 2011, so that doesn't really have any bearing in the "recording music" discussion

 

BUT he did the "Party With Jews" redux which required him to do something new!

Also, way more people should have peeped this.

Right?! Like, "Party With You" has like 10 million less views on YouTube than it should but this has like NOTHING and I feel like it completely flew under the radar as a part of the hype during the Fall.

 

I’m hoping if it is an opening spot for MCR that they do a few side shows as well as I believe the MCR show near me is sold out

 

Absolutely. If they're coming back, they're doing at least one side show like the Knitting Factory show in 2014 (which I happened to be at and my head exploded, especially since I never got to see them back in the day).
