  1. I’ve been on hello fresh and I’m like “ohhhh so those are the intended portion sizes”

One of my coworkers raves about Hello Fresh and I constantly look at the side and debate trying it and always chicken out because I worry I’m gonna end up wasting money on it

should probably just try it for a week or two and see but you know

  3. The reason we started is it’s forcing us to cook at home more and try recipes we normally would pass up. Also there’s no food waste

Hello fresh rules, we had it for quite a few months. Then we decided to just keep the meal prep sheets and buy the ingredients of the meals we wanted during that week ourselves lol

Hello fresh is worth it with the promos they do but not as much without one for me. But I did love the lil one time portion sizes of things so cute.

  6. I've done them all. Hello fresh, every plate, blue apron etc.

Someone gave me a coupon for a free month of Factor and it’s great. They have a vegan option which is huge. It’s essentially high end frozen dinners. Although, that’s not giving them justice. It’s all fresh and extremely filling. Very good as well.

    Hello Fresh is very good.
Blue Apron is ok except the meals are a little out there, especially if you are a picky person.

Every Plate is what my gf gets for us - like 3-5 meals a week. It's very good, my only complaint is that the portions are a little smaller than I'd like, but maybe that's for the best :crylaugh:

Does anybody count calories or macros or whatever but still eat out? I count calories during the work week and try to just eat out on weekends when I don't rly count calories so I don't worry about it. But sometimes situations show up during the weekdays like today where I couldn't pack a lunch and will have to pick something up. I always wanna go local but they almost never display calories. Do ppl just guess their best in those situations? Or is there a cool secret I'm not privy to lol

i try not to count to specifically because of this very fact / “issue” - I have no idea what restaurants usually have for the nutritional value / count. Some restaurants do indicate on their site, but I feel like this is usually only for chains, not smaller independent places.

When I was a real stickler I would Google and see what other restaurants had listed (or anything) but it got too tedious to try and count it correctly because who knows what type of bread is used with that sandwich, what type of seasoning or sauce and how much. Same for how much meat and cheese or whatever - one serving size? 8?

I don’t have an answer for your question lol but what I would do on days when I knew I was going to eat out is make sure the stuff I could count was on point and try to eat less because I would assume whatever I was having at a restaurant was probably gonna be my calorie count for the entire day in that one meal (depending where and what of course) and just kind of put an asterisk next to that day

I input my stuff in fitness pal for long enough that I have a good idea what I'm doing when I'm trying to behave eating wise. I have a day or two a week where I don't worry about it with eating out though. At my worst my macros are typically 50 carbs, 20 fat, 30 protein

I’ve been going to the gym for years just to stay in shape while playing sports, but the last few months I’ve been waking up at 7 am each morning and going to the gym. I feel better and more in shape now at 30 than when I was 20. I’ve been eating much more protein and calories through the day as well. I was stuck at 145 for years but in a few months I’ve finally started to put on more weight and I’m at 150 now. Maybe a little over 150. My height is 5’8” so I’d say I’m making pretty good progress. Reached a new PR on bench and squats recently too.

The soreness one always gets me. I know soreness isn't indicative of a good workout but I feel so satisfied when I'm a little sore the next day. Tho not so sore I then can't workout for a few days. When I'm not sore at all my brain is convinced I didn't do enough even tho I know thats not true

Also yesterday I ended up getting fast food for lunch and even tho I didn't go too wild with calories it still felt greasy and heavy so I requested my bf prepare something light for dinner.

He got breadsticks and mini Cinnabons from pizza hut :facepalm2:

Yeah, I get that. It does strangely feel good to be a little sore, as long as it's not debilitating. But people push it too far and end up injuring themselves.

I think it's the perfect amount of sore when it dissipates after you do your first set the next day. Feels good...like you did the perfect amount of reps/weight the day before.

Agreed, that's how I usually judge it. If it fades early in my next workout then I did it right.

Also the best part about losing weight has been not being as sore, especially in my hips, after going for a long run on the weekends.

My wife was out running errands yesterday and ended up getting fast food for lunch and was like "I don't know how people eat this stuff every day" and was happy to have a mile+ walk roundtrip to pick up our youngest from preschool after.

He found he had pizza hut points and coupons so he got a good deal. I didn't want to break his spirit and how proud he was for finding a good deal but on the inside I was like :sly:when he asked why I only ate one breadstick.

I used to eat it daily and sometimes multiple times a day and now that I haven't been, I don't really crave it as much which is super cool because previously I'd use food as a reward for myself so I associated it with so much happiness. I still like to get good restaurant food but i dont seem to be gravitating as much to the greasiest and carbiest food possible anymore which is cool. I used to convince myself I would have fear if missing out if I didn't, so it's a cool change
