Nickelback was the biggest punching bag on the internet but most of their peers were worse imo

I forgot to add Thrice's TAITA as an honorable mention. While I still love that record, I enjoyed the releases after it a bit more so it's waned a bit in terms of my ranking.

Probably had something to do with them being the last ubiquitous band for the monoculture really ended at the end of the 00's. All The Right Reasons sold 11 million copies worldwide. People don't realize that a rock band selling that many copies of an album during peak downloading era.

Yeah, we don't need to reevaluate any band that had songs like this.

Totally forgot this when making my list, but I feel like 2003 was peak post-rock time. And most people are going to say The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place is the classic, and sure it is a great album, but I think Do Make Say Think was the actual best band of the era (and their best album came out this year):

Here's the thing. "Breathe" is good. "How You Remind Me" is pretty good, though ruined by overplay. Everything else is trash.

LMAO Nickelback won for simultaneously taking over the thread on the last two pages and then also killing it on Thursday afternoon.

In all seriousness I'm guessing it was Death Cab.

    2004 is another insane year.
