Found this chart interesting and a good comparison of the various COVID waves. It's still crazy to me how the second and third deadliest waves came after vaccines were widely available (it's almost like masks and other NPIs work)

My commute is 45 miles each way RIP me with these gas prices. Luckily my car gets decent mileage. Today was definitely the first time in my life I paid over $4/gallon

Damn near $5 up here in Chicago. My next job i swear will be strictly in the city so i can ditch my car and take the train around.

Luckily I work from home and my GF works about three miles away. Our biggest commute is to pick up my daughter every weekend which about 30 miles round trip. I couldn’t imagine having a commute like that every day.

I paid $4.29 today. I drive an escape with horrible gas mileage. My husbands hybrid needs new tires and an oil change and we’re switching cars. I drive 35 miles each way, he works 5 seconds from home.

The fusion is AWFUL in snow/ice. He does bike when it’s nice though. He mostly takes his car because the business he works for has buildings kind of all over our town.

I drive around 2500-3000 miles a month for work.

Gas is up to about $4.15 where I am, but I surprisingly found one gas station that's at $3.93. Glad I drive a Civic heh. Lasts forever on a tiny tank.

i walk a quarter mile to work. 14 months no car and life is fine (due to the extensive public transit options in the city i live in)

If I was Biden, I'd use executive order to draft every American who's ever said "I identify as an attack helicopter" to go defend Ukraine.
