    roamer. wanderer. nomad. vagabond.

rivers of mercy, the tipping point, and long long long time have been on constant repeat for me. i might just buy tickets for their houston show in... june? i've always wanted to see them perform live, admittedly just for a handful of hits. but there's alot of good in this new album.

I saw them a few years back and they were VERY good live.

finally picked up the vinyl from Target. the bonus 7 inch warped my copy to a small degree, so i exchanged it for another, which was also warped (but not as badly). oh well. still excited to have it. flattening it a bit with the heavy book method.

“Secret Location” kind of sounds like their take on Tame Impala to me

has Curt just always been able to write shit as good as "Stay" and "Shame" but was content to chill and let Roland write all the songs? like god fucking damn he's good

I am so happy this is getting love. I’ve stanned TFF since I was like 5. Everybody Loves A Happy Ending is wildly overlooked too.

every TFF record i've heard is baseline great (note: i haven't heard raoul). it's worth seeking out orzabal's solo album tomcats screaming outside too

Raoul is worth listening to, some great songs on there. Does a lot of exploring his Spanish heritage, and you can hear it in the music. “Me and My Big Ideas” is one of his best vocal performances and features Oleta Adams again.

Conversely I’ve never heard Tomcats. I know there’s some trip-hop/DnB influence which is totally up my alley.

Watching some live vids since tix for last night were too pricey for me. I really don’t think Roland Orzabal gets his due as a vocalist. He still sounds absolutely fantastic all these years later.

the new songs on the live album are not too inspired, I'm thinking these are just b-sides that weren't quite good enough to make an album. they're still okay (the album cover being AI is a little less okay)
