Laura Jane Grace has a show in Chicago a month before, so I don't think this necessarily rules her out

and the Offspring show is outside the 90 day radius, so it's still possible but very unlikely

Denzel was awesome at Riot a few years ago. The others all would be great too. JPEG would make a lot of sense

I know he’s grown quite a bit and whatnot, so he might not be 100% “Riot-esque” but Tyler being on Riot would be super cool

I would absolutely love Denzel Curry, Danny Brown, or JPEGMAFIA for bigger name acts. It would be cool to bring Dessa back, as well, or getting any other member of Doomtree, really. There's a few other more modern acts I think would be fun but I don't really think they fit the Riot "brand" so much.

From my perspective, the biggest issue bringing in some of the bigger name, newer acts is that there's still decent demand for them at the bigger, more pop-leaning festivals. Probably makes it hard for Riot to book them.

Also: I think it's a little weird that Riot never really dipped their toe into the "emo-rap" or whatever you want to call it. Most of those artists seem like they'd be easily within reach and would be a perfect fit for the festival.

Limp Bizkit have just rescheduled their UK tour to September which is a downer as i cannot go to the new Manchester date as i will be in the US for Riot Fest

The tour is the weekend before Riot but not sure of there are European dates afterwards so still a small possibilty.

I didn't even consider them as an option but man do I want Big Time Rush closing out one of the smaller stages now

and just because I'm an all-star, Smash Mouth announced a new lead singer that was in a Weezer cover band

Their first new song with the new lead singer is a cover of Never Gonna Give You Up

Seriously? I thought they would just call it a day after Steve left. Now it just feels like a Smash Mouth cover band…

It blows my mind that if you change the names in this sentence it would match up pretty well with something a friend of mine said about Prophets of Rage.

    But... It's about Smash Mouth.

I thought this would be a good addition, but Busta Rhymes is out... playing Hyde Park Summer Fest in June

I never got into Big Time Rush. They got big just as I was ending my Nickelodeon watching years. That said, I’m sure they would be a fun nostalgia get for a lot of people.

    Give what you can.

Yeah he released one last Summer. I caught his set at Riotfest last year and it was kind of weird. I'd seen him a couple of times before and he always had a bit of a motivational speaker thing going on between songs and was super interactive with the crowd, but last year when he played the only interaction he had was when he made everyone do a countdown to his last song... from the number 99.

He only played a handful of shows after the release of his record and then he kinda went off the grid (deleted all his socials). I think he's still dating Kat Dennings so maybe he dropped the music thing and just decided to do that full time.
