Record Store Day is shit in terms of how commercial it's become and how it's affected the vinyl pipeline, but if it gets people out to support indie record stores...then c'est la vie.

Picked up that Thursday/Envy split and Phantoms by Acceptance for 30 bucks. Not bad.

 

I caved and bought some records from that sale. Being too tired to go out and see Manchester Orchestra and Foxing had an influence as well.

Picked mine up from Darkside yesterday!

 

The Darkside color is really nice and the gatefold is lovely! Only complaint is not marking sides on the inner label, which has turned into my vinyl pet peeve. I was a dummy and pulled out Side C/D first, not realizing it was double lp. I saw markings on the back and was really concerned that my record had some pressing defect. A few minutes later I was about to email Darkside until I finally looked at the back jacket and figured out that it was an etched side!

 

Yeah, I think my inner sleeves were in the wrong parts of the gatefold and I had to triple-check the etching near the label of disc one to see whether the discs were also flipped haha

 

SRC Vinyl, where everything is out of stock forever.

 

These are unnecessary but cute and I want all of them.
