They were on the fifth line in 2014, are they that much bigger now?

To me they are on par with A Day to Remember, who was third line in 2017

 

BMTH is headlining Reading and Leeds this year, but I feel its one of this bands that are bigger in the UK than America. If they play Riot I can see them closing the 2nd stage right before MCR

This is pretty much what I was thinking, despite my question. Haha. I knew they were huge in the UK but kinda figured they would be ADTR level (maybe a bit bigger/smaller) in the US.

At minimum, they'd close out a second stage (or be direct on main).

 

They would definitely play directly before the headliner, makes no sense for them to play at the same time as MCR or maybe even the Misfits.. hypothetically

 

BMTH is pretty huge here now, so I guess they could headline? But I would be pretty disappointed if they did

Also hoping Helmet tours this year

 

Out of artists that were on last year from that list I would love to see Action Bronson, AOF and Trash Boat.

 

Selfishly going to be very upset if Alexisonfire goes Lolla instead of Riot.

 

Not counting Knotfest, this was the last US festival they played..

 

Trash Boat would be great, saw them on the last touring warped with like 15 other ppl and they just killed it.

 

uhhh I guess it doesn’t overlap so much scene-wise, but I’m not thrilled with how much I’m loving the Primavera LA lineup

 

Not that they were prob ever in play with their once-a-year US touring even before COVID, but Enter Shikari is out. Rescheduled date is the weekend after

 

No Chicago date. Not saying it’s a lock but I would say makes chances higher.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if Rise Against played again this year. I could maybe see them doing Lollapalooza. Or Chicago Open Air (or a similar hard rock fest) coming back?

 

i dont think rise plays a chicago show at all this year after the 3 times they played it last year

 

who knows, i could see them coming back since last year was a "someone bailed, we need you" situation, and for all we know they were already penciled in for 22 before the bail out situation came up.

edit - also is this the tour senses fail is doing that casued the drama of bailing on their own tour? if so i wouldnt have guessed that opening a decent sized tour would be more lucrative than headlining your own.

 

Bring RA back next year for a 20th anniversary Revolutions Per Minute album play (I know this won't happen but I can dream).

 

Lolla would make sense. Completely different audience. But even that feels a bit unlikely, all things considered. I feel like they've pretty much saturated at this point.

 

I know they are from Chicago so I *get* why, but they play Chicago way too often for them to come back in 2022.

 

yeah they don't play Chicago at all this year. last year they had the 3 headline shows plus the couple acoustic ones they played. they also played Milwaukee last year and are playing there again in april

 

Yeah I feel like they're one of the "break glass in case of emergency" bands this year. Not sure how many of the guys live in Chicago, but they can probably turn it around if they need something super quick.

 

iirc, only Tim and Joe live in the Chicago area. I think Zach lives in Texas and Brandon lives somewhere in Colorado

 

I feel like Senses Fail don't get very many opportunities to open up for other acts, these days. So in the short-term, it might not be as lucrative... It could potentially open them up to newer (and younger) fans.

That would be astounding!

 

also the dates for the rise against tour kinda rule out lolla anyways
