I love Coheed and definitely plan on catching the show in my city. BUT, they're playing at a 14,000 capacity venue, with the cheapest tickets being $75 after fees.
The last time they played here it was at a 6k venue and had Taking Back Sunday as a co-headliner. Not sure how big all the other venues are on this tour, but I definitely anticipate being able to get a cheap (or free) ticket the week of.

I've learned that whenever shows undersell, the venue/promoter unloads tons of tickets to websites and apps for giveaways. This venue is especially notorious for this.

Honestly sellouts depends on the venue size. Mine is 8000 cap, so it'll likely sell out. Some are over 15000, and will probably have tons of tickets day of show.

DGD is a great band. I could describe their sound: how their singer Tilian and screamer Jon blend poppy melodies and shouted nonsense lyrics, along with Will Swan's technically advanced guitar parts.

But you really just have to hear it yourself.

They mainly play songs from their previous 5 albums, the ones with Tilian. If you like what you hear I'd start with their album Mothership as it's their most successful and beloved.

The guy putting on that butt-rock festival in WI used to be a radio personality in the city I live, and he used to try and bring that kind of show here all the time.

He would host it downtown at a park in the middle of the city and every year I’d drive by and just see like, maybe 100 people (mostly all the opening band members) out there throwing up devil horns for d-list radio rock bands. Seemed terrible.

Ra is such a great band. Definitely kind of like a Chevelle where they get grouped in the butt rock category but don't deserve it (less so than Chevelle but still)

I think the SSF "leak" is just speculation because I asked 3 people what it is and got 3 different answers.

Neck Deep & State Champs are the constants in all of the responses, but someone said Machine Gun Kelly was headlining, someone said ND & SC were coheadlining with Mayday Parade & The Maine below them, someone said Concrete Castles and Stand Atlantic are on the bil... I'm fairly certain no one actually has the real lineup.

Or at least, whoever originated the leak is filling up the discourse with nonsense answers to obfuscate liability.

MGK headlining would be pretty awful.

It's like a pop punk festival cannot exist without a creep being a part of it in some way.

So far every artist I saw mentioned here or on Twitter seems like the shape of a pretty great lineup. MGK is a little annoying but super popular, Champs being involved is real great, I saw someone mention Mayday Parade and Waterparks, which would be pretty sick. Idk man, it would feel like an upgrade over last year’s lineup for sure.

Yeah, last year had ATL/TSSF. You’d figure they might want to separate from problematic artists, but I guess pop punk is running out of bands who don’t have shitty people in them.
