He's had plenty of opportunities to get a better quarterback. I know he's not GM but he definitely has a say in who the team brings in, and he also hires the QB coach for development. So yes, that does fall on him.

 

Sam Bradford went on the IR three times, and no QB coach can make Kellen Clemens, Austin Davis, and Shaun Hill a good quarterback.

Snead has been conservative on free agents, clearly. But that's his approach.

 

Fisher actually has the power, hes the one who hired Snead. Kroenke gave him the power to do that when he hired him so fisher has plenty of leeway.

 

What do you think will happen, he'll just stay with the Rams forever while they never get a quarterback and keep doing bad? "That's just his approach" doesn't save mediocrity. But hey, whatever makes the Rams happy I guess.

I know if O'Brien kept bringing in Malletts/Hoyers every year and kept going 8-8 and below he wouldn't keep his job.

 

Also, Bradford went from basically a 60% passer in STL to a 65% passer in PHI. While maintaining the same y/a, etc. And Nick Foles lost about 5% completion going from PHI to STL (though he was trending down). So, you can certainly blame that on play calling and QB development in Fisher's staff.

 

Chip Kelly isn't a fair measuring point. Look what he did with Sanchez. Heck, a raw QB from ND State just came in and made it rain.

 

Wait, what? Sanchez had one decent year but he wasn't elite by any stretch and he also didn't play all 16 games because he only started due to injury. The next year he went back to the trash and is a backup again now. Wentz had one game and was the 2nd pick of the draft, I'll wait till at least game 12 to have a full opinion on his first year.

 

the problem is if you are eligible to GET Directv at your house, you ARE NOT eligible to buy the streaming package

Earl Mitchell goes on IR too which means its time for Jordan Phillips to get all the snaps, thank God. he was a beast against Seattle

 

I liked Jordan Phillips over Louis Nix in that draft class even though Nix got way more hype

It's doesn't make sense. 20 years in the NFL and only 6 "succesful" season with 1 sb appearance. I know he's had a lot of poor trams but seriously like you said....really bizarre

 

Glad to see Danielle Hunter do something big against the Titans. That was nice.

 

He still only played like half the snaps but he is a damn good pass rusher so I guess that'll remain his role going forward.
