My house is set to 64 in the winter. Wear a hoodie and have a blanket on the couch.

also have Lymes disease but they caught it quick and it hasn’t really affected me.

This is probably a dumb question, but random shower thought came into my mind...

Why isn't it possible to take recycled plastic and kind of remold it into building materials for new house construction? Surely we've figured out by now how to make plastic that is just as sturdy as lumber. Or maybe you use SOME lumber to supplement but have some of the beams be made of plastic and etc? It would cut down on lumber needs AND put the plastic somewhere useful where it's not harming our environment.

lol is Bouie saying that the Squad aren't on record on all of these topics...?
Or that it's somehow necessary to re-establish their pretty well-worn politics every time they're mentioned?

Even if he's arguing that this unfairly paints them as radicals because they aren't actively making these policies their priority, they still obviously fall on one distinct side of those polarizing issues (and for better or worse, act as willing totems for them in the party ecosystem) and voters know that.

It seems much more important that they're straight-up pretending the party hasn't hurt itself in like a billion non-Squad ways.

I know I posted a tweet about this yesterday, but how is this NOT a slogan for Selena Meyer?

  19. Is there a word for yawning at the mundanity of it but still being livid about how much it sucks?

smdh honestly I don't know how the Democrats can possibly overcome this without magically transforming into a left-populist party.

This is just people projecting "DEM" over anything they find They'll always get spiked by association because the right wing conflates them with the Left, and the Left will never embrace them.

It's a thing already. Look up "plastic lumber".

Should just make hemp wood instead of plastic wood or regular wood at this point.

It's definitely done, but I think it still is fairly energy intensive to heat and re-mold the plastic. Plus pine lumber is relatively sustainable and environmentally friendly.

We got a few new windows from Renewal by Andersen and they use a composite of wood and vinyl/PVC for their windows, though I'm not sure how much of either of those is recycled (I think the wood is mostly sawdust, scraps, etc.)

  23. I couldn't speak to Andersen specifically, but in general PVC is the least likely to be made of recycled material.

I also assume that it's held back by the cost and green-ness of the recycling process, but I'm curious if it's at least possible to develop a better process.

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

We should probably not be investing more in plastic and continuing to believe recycling is efficient or sustainable

I generally agree, but if there is something we can (safely and responsibly) do to make use of the plastic that is already in existence and will be here forever, then I'm for it.
