If the lockout persists is it possible at some point they just say fuck it and basically do what Congress does with the debt ceiling lol and agree to like a six month temporary CBA extension? Doubtful and idk that that would make the players hand any stronger but just curious if that's even possible

 

I’m sure the league and owners would be fine with rolling things forward. If the players are serious about making changes and waving that flag, they probably need to stay strong and dig into the trenches. The non stars and borderline players need to be willing to take on some financial pain. Kind of like school districts when they strike. Make them put an inferior product out there and then wait for them to come crawling back or negotiate in better faith at least.

20-year minimum seems high. I guess each state can vary and it probably depends on the specific conviction. I feel like in Ohio, where someone I knew died by taking drugs with fentanyl, the minimum sentence was much lower for the person charged.
