There's no consequence to working with him other than you get to have a hit single and make a lot of money (see: Doja Cat) so we shouldn't be surprised that people keep doing it.

This is why it would be great if cancel culture were a thing.

at least Doja Cat has vowed not to work with him anymore, and she hinted at the fact that she didn't actually know he was getting credited on the song, and didn't actually work on the song (my guess it was one of his minions who actually produced it, but they are legally required to credit Luke) aaaaaanyway it's a step I guess

Sounds like a lawyer told him this was bad for custody reasons. Whole situation still sucks.

    Things have changed.

"I'm still learning" is not really an acceptable answer for a 44-year-old man harassing the mother of his children and her new partner.

why is this website so obsessed with hating on Kanye, like every little thing he ever posts winds up here I just can’t wrap my head around it. yeah he’s a piece of shit, I fucking hate the guy but I actively try to avoid whatever dumb drama he gets involved in because what’s the point in getting angry anymore that man is too far gone and nothings gonna bring him back

  15. if the events of the last week are anything to go by yeah I heavily agree - it's too late for him. it's just sad really.

right like it’s just sad especially if you were ever a fan, which I was pretty much right up until the MAGA stuff, a very big fan too. but at this point I just can’t muster up enough of a fuck to care about whatever latest dumb shit he’s been saying or has been involved in, it’s been years of this and people still chomp at the bit to get mad at Kanye for every last thing he’s done, what’s even the point anymore?

I don't go to TMZ or Buzzfeed or anything, so I just usually catch the Kanye news that's posted here or in his thread. I don't know, I guess I don't see the harm in being updated on his behavior?

i guess thats my question then, why do you want to be updated on his behavior? i just dont get wanting to know all this especially the pete stuff. i try and ignore it and shut it out because its just gonna piss me off and i dont see what that accomplishes. thats just me though, maybe others dont get frustratingly mad at kanye news

  19. Because it's relevant to the topic "Accountability In Music". Especially the continued escalation of his behavior towards Kim.

i would argue it has little to do with accountability but then we're just rehashing the same argument over for the millionth time so forget it, i understand and am sorry for asking

But what's the end goal in sharing it? He's clearly shown that he doesn't give a shit about accountability. Just seems like continued posting about him is just "Hey, shitty person does something shitty for the umpteenth time." What is anyone bringing to the table with posting stuff like that?

  22. Zilla

I just like to stay updated on it. I can understand why others wouldn't and wouldn't blame them for not wanting to see it. I don't see it as any different than posting about Cosby or something in the Accountability in Entertainment thread. They're beyond accountability, but I still like to know what's going on.

yep totally fair and if these are going to be more like news threads that's fine, just time to unsub since i have no use for that kind of thing. i see why others would.

  24. The end goal in sharing it is that someone, despite all of the previous behavior, someone out there doesn't know what is occurring. No matter how many times you've heard about it, someone out there isn't aware.

This thread exists not to keep artists accountable for their behavior, because they're not participating in this thread. It exists to keep fans aware of the behavior.

honestly it's something i think about with the majority of the posts in this thread. most of them are just sharing links about someone we know and have known for years is a verifiable piece of shit and then 20 people just responding "fuck them." I'm guilty of it too. but ultimately, it isn't helping at all, and in 90% of cases it isn't educating anyone since a lot of the people are repeat offenders we're just talking about every time they're shitty
