Excited for new songs coming out for the hype. New album is going to rip. Loving the aesthetic as well.

 

No not really. I'd think Dissenter and Dead American are "heavier", but it's a weird descriptor when talking about Anberlin. Those two songs are vocally more harsh, but instrumentally Dissenter isn't really "heavy". Instrumentally songs like Self-Starter are pretty heavy but Stephen's vocals are sitting about where they normally do.

 

I’m not going to listen to that again but I’ll say if Two Graves got me pumped that other song has me through the roof. Sounds like they’re picking up right where they left off sound wise.

 

I can hear the lyric "lost myself to find me" which was also what they posted on Instagram

 

Holy shit, the day it officially comes out, I'll be ready to claim it as one of my favorite Anberlin songs ever. It's just that good.

 

Daaaaang, loving the new song too. This bodes very well.

I’ve always enjoyed every album but these two feel different to me in a way I can’t quite describe. Anyone please feel free to tell me what my brain cannot

 

Interesting that it officially releases to steaming on Sept. 24. Wonder if we’ll get some sort of info on that date.

Really do love this song. The other new one they played after their set sounded great too.

Not gonna lie I was a little nervous about how I was going to respond to new music from these guys, but so far I am loving the direction they are taking.

 

the mixing on this still sounds slightly wonky to me

 

Two Graves was a monster at Furnace Fest. excited to hear the recorded version later to see if it hits as hard

 

Vocals sound buried and over effected to me

 

Maybe he just really misses Orlando.

 

How is "The Huanting" a B-side? It's insanely beautiful and just might be their best song imo.

 

I've always felt that Lost Songs was a really strong rarities/b-sides album.

 

Yeah, that’s a hell of a b-side. One of their top 10 songs imo.

 

Didn't Stephen say somewhere once that he wishes he could swap Adelaide and The Haunting?

 

That'd be fun to switch out to see how it feels with a couple of playthroughs. I wonder how much time they spend mulling over these album orders before submitting them to the record companies.
