Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine they can get close to filling amphitheaters on their own. Seems to have worked in the past, if it ain't broke don't fix it

 

I'm going to Riot this year and would honestly love for a different artist of similar size to be on vs TBS again. I've seen Tell All Your Friends in full 4 times, I'd rather skip out on number 5 (20th anniversary this year) in lieu of someone else

 

Oh totally. On their own they can only do a couple thousand cap theaters. So that makes sense. I also imagine this tour hits Groupon instantly

 

A lot of crossover with fanbase's and I think Stephan Jenkins in particular is really self-conscious about Third Eye Blind still being seen as a 90's nostalgia act.

 

Could also see that. I know SJ has some, uh… ego issues…

I can’t wait to hear about TBS’s journey touring with them. I know JEW’s experience was a nightmare lol

 

All dates of the RATM tour rescheduled

 

The first half of the tour is the only thing rescheduled. The confirmed dates remain unchanged from the announcement they made a few weeks ago

No it’s all updated now. The “postponed” dates listed in that post have now been moved to 2023

 

The one time I'm not angry a tour is skipping Cleveland.

He is right. Only the first half of the tour was postponed.

 

I feel like there's quite a bit of crossover in those fanbases. For people of a certain age, Third Eye Blind is a band they closely associate with junior high or high school... While Taking Back Sunday and such is college. It's a double whammy of nostalgia And at that point in time (2002-2006), the emo acts in play were incredibly mainstream in terms of appeal. So it makes sense on paper.

 

They were a late addition announced after they played that Huntington show in 2018

Riot can't announce them until after they play that July show with 3EB (which is what I think happens this year via a second wave or something).. that was the case in 2016 and 2018 when they played summer shows at Huntington

Ohhh. For some reason I had it in my mind that the first set of dates were moved again and they were holding off on moving the second half until today. Ugh. Didn’t drink enough coffee or something

I wonder why RATM pushed the first part of the tour until 2023 and the second half unchanged, thats weird

 

they probably just think they can make that half of the shows happen by then, so essentially the second half is now the first half. makes sense to me.

 

I heard Brad Wilk had back surgery or something of that sort?
