I have a funny relationship with SLS because I always enjoy listening to them but they don't crack my rotation and even when I deliberately put them on "stuff to listen to" playlists, I only seem to want to hear them again after some time has passed.

Either way, stoked as hell to be going to Philly for this tour. Missing OA & SF when Mom Jeans cancelled NY was sad and from what I've heard SLS should end up being a pretty meaningful experience.

I've probably told this story a bunch on here, but catching 99% of All Get Out at Bled Fest, then full on sprinting down to hall to catch 99% of Spanish Love Songs (they overlapped by literally a minute) as they opened with "Nuevo" was one of my favorite show moments, by far

 

Would really love to see Sad Summer expand to two stages with a lineup something like:
Neck Deep.
100 Gecs.
Waterparks.
Chase Atlantic.
Jxdn.
State Champs.
Knuckle Puck.
3oh!3.
Real Friends.
The Summer Set.
Gucciehighwaters.
Meet Me @ The Alter.
Charlotte Sands.

 

100 Gecs are so out of place on this, lmaooo. The rest sounds about right though.

 

South By So What have them playing the same stage as Sum41 and Simple Plan, so it seems possible!

 

100 Gecs is good friends with people in the scene and they have a lot of crossover appeal. I’m trying to go to that So What Music Festival

 

That collab with Craig Owens and Fall Out Boy is really good

 

I really want to try and make So What work.

It was a toss up for that and When We Were Young and since I couldn’t snag a WWWY I’m going to make So What work and the more I look at So What I see it being better the fact I can catch The Ghost Inside/Alexisonfire/100 Gecs/Blackbear/Trippie Redd/Chunk! No Captain Chunk! has me really hyped

 

When they had the Ginsburg poem as the intro I was just thinking “what a weird intro for The Upsides”

 

I'd rather them close on Bar Bands anyways, so that's fine with me.

 

Out of curiosity, do we know for sure Sad Summer is happening this year?

I'm sure it's econmically successful and everything, but it is a lot of effort, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took a year off?

 

Yeah it is, even if the Maine isn’t playing this year they’re still involved and they told rocksound that they’re working on putting the next one on

They fucking ruled live and completely changed my opinion.

 

I wonder if TWY will switch up B-sides for the encore every night. I’d love to hear Me Vs The Highway or Rob Gordon

 

That's the vibe I got. Either Brakeless or Out on My Feet, a random b-side, and then Living Room Song to close it out.

 

It was weird having "Came Out Swinging" as the first song of the set. Didn't pack as much punch as it does when it's the closer.

 

I'm now going to the Nashville date, along with Fort Wayne and Royal Oak!

 

Has anyone been to the So What festival? If so how is it? And how is Arlington is there anything cool and fun to check out? If I go I’ll probably make a day of it before and get in early
