Circling back to that Scrat news, I’d love to see her license the character for an animated “Sqrat” film with strong creatives (like, Lord & Miller level), while retaining ownership. Everything having to be established IP isn’t good, but having a successful children’s franchise owned by the creator instead of a corporation would rule.

Also would be dope if that small chip in the armor could be used to pry some Marvel IP out of the House of Mouse, but I’m not gonna hold my breath on that until I see real momentum there.

 

Crime procedural shows like criminal minds, SVU, NCIS, etc. are pretty much exclusively shows you watch with your significant other while you do chores or look at your phone

I’m wondering if sometime in the next decade we’ll get a completely synthesized movie on one of these streaming channels. A script written from machine learning, deep fake actors with fake speech and CGI backgrounds.
