On The Impossible Past turns 10 today. Hard to describe what it’s meant to me over the years, my 20s would not have been the same without it.

 

Yeah, this is one of those “life-changing” albums for me. Cannot believe 10 years has passed.

 

As might be self evident, one of the best albums ever and most important of my life.

I’m a ATP boy personally

 

2011 was such a watershed musical year for me, namely listening to so many new AP bands as I transitioned from high school into college and shifted from listening to primarily classic rock/90s alt to current stuff. MovMou, B&C, La Dispute, the Swellers, PBC, Title Fight, and others all released albums that just completely altered my musical landscape.

OTIP was the final album that came as part of that trend, a couple months later than the rest, and it only fitting the best was saved for last.

 

OTIP is a very significant album for me and means so, so much. And yet, ATP is still my favorite by them.

 

Never really listened to anything pre After the Party, maybe I'll pop OTIP on

 

OTIP and RW are still top tier for me. I know I'm in the minority but the latest two did nothing for me. I'd love a 10th anniversary tour
