Your [2] point: It really is wild, isn't it? While I don't really believe much of what Clinton has proposed will actually be what she ends up doing, at least she's trying. All we have from Trump is that Mexico is funding a wall, and we're keeping Muslims out. Not how either of those things are happening, but that's what we're working with here.

  2. I didn't check this stat, but I saw it earlier: Trump: has 7 policy "proposals" on his website at around 9,000 words. Clinton: has 38 "issues" on site, 65 policy sheets, all around 112,735 words.

The Air Force One thing might be the most telling part of Trump's character. What a baby

  4. And I 1000000% believe that's exactly what he would do. And then redecorate the white house.

The data that they're using to judge millennials' opinions towards Obama is from 2012, so doesn't that mean that those voters are now around 25 - 30? I don't feel like that generation are millenials (and I mean feel literally because I feel like there's a generational divide between myself at 21 and someone who's 30 but I don't have anything else to support that claim).

Anyway, I myself am a millennial who loves Obama but don't know if I'll vote for Clinton and my brothers and peers have expressed the same feelings. Those of us who voted were voting for Sanders (again, myself included), and I know a lot of my peers were very disappointed in the DNC's treatment of Sanders and the bad taste left behind has them rethinking a vote for a Democrat. The thing is, we all like Obama. I'm well aware of the problematic decisions Obama has made in the past, and rather disillusioned by the fact that mass surveillance and air strikes have blossomed under his watch, but I still think he was overall a good president and I think Clinton is very likely to continue his legacy -- my point is, we're a very winnable demographic for Clinton and she isn't spending any time or money campaigning for us. I understand the moderate Republican is technically a bigger demographic, but they're not the demographic that will take Clinton down by splitting the vote up four ways. Like the article showed, that's my generation doing that, and the Clinton campaign's lack of acknowledgment towards our voting demo since the primary is a pretty clear indicator that the campaign doesn't think we're important and millennials are feeling that (and it's not a good feeling). For most of us, it's our first presidential election, so it's harder to poll us and there's not as much data to support who we might be voting for because we've never voted before and I think that's a big reason why the campaign is naively underestimating us as a voting demographic. If Clinton loses this election, I wholeheartedly think it'll be due at least in part to millennials because from the few statistics we do have, millennials are going to be the ones voting third party and Clinton needs those votes to keep her lead over Trump.

  8. Trump gives an interview this morning and no one asks: "do you believe Obama was born in the United States?" or "hey, what exactly do you think we should do with this whole Russia/Syria absolute fucking madness?" ...

This could be pure confirmation bias but there seems to be a lot of Bernie or Bust / never Hillary millennials
She can't win over those people and I'm really not sure what she can do to get the undecided voters

I was 10000% with you until you say "If Clinton loses this election, I wholeheartedly think it'll be due at least in part to millennials..." If Clinton loses this election, the blame will be SQUARELY on her for being a bad candidate. Millennials calling her on it would just be confirmation.

The "why" surrounding a candidate's win or loss has nothing to do with the candidate. That's like saying if Trump wins it's because he's a great candidate.

People enjoyed when Trump claimed to have funded the different politicians precisely because, on the one hand, it confirms that they all can be bought and on the other hand, positions him outside of that climate because he does not need the money of those that are rich like him.

I don't know that she can't win that demographic over, but I'm sure it can't be any more difficult than the Republicans she's targeting. A lot Republicans just won't vote Democrat, and certainly not for Hillary. I'm not confident she can win over Bernie loving millennials either but I'm still watching her like "come on, you're not even going to try??"

The problem then is that when she does use social media or appears on Broad City or whatever a lot of people see it as

And she did listen to Bernie about college at least

They tend to have fairly good articles from time to time, but this is so fucking tone-deaf that it is unbelievable. It is the point at which social justice discourse has been completely appropriated by liberalism.

Yikes I can't believe I forgot about her "youth outreach."

She added a lot of Bernie's points to her platform after she won the primary and changed her stance on TPP which is why I think millennials are a better demographic for her to be targeting than the moderate Republicans

  24. That's why Clinton wants this argument and should keep pointing at it and asking. Do you want to be in the same group with these horrible people and the candidates that refuse to call them out for their awfulness?
