I live in St Louis so I'm not allowed to root for the Rams even tho I'm a saints fan so yeah go AFC teams

Defense is definitely more bought, but, Stafford aside, the Rams offense is almost exclusively home-grown guys. OBJ is kind of the exception, but he was also waived. Even then, a lot of it was also smart trading (turning Talib/Peters into the picks that got them O-line and Henderson, trading Cooks for what became Van Jefferson's pick, etc)

The three big deals are:

Ramsey, Stafford, Von Miller. Those are just flat out buys. But, by that same token, the Bucs are just as bought (Brady, Gronk, AB, etc). 49ers also bought their QB, LT, etc. Josh Allen's top 3 targets are all FA/trade aquisitions. Rams just spent big for the elite of the elite level talent.

I like the Rams model a lot more than the old WFT model of dropping $100+ million in free agency, or like the 2019? Dolphins where they went with like a half dozen $50+ million type deals

True, I have a similar issue with Tampa. The Niners and Bills don’t stick out to me in that regard, so admittedly there’s some bias involved. I just got weary of the Rams when seemingly once a month they were making a new move
