  1. Red flag city, y'all. I'm sure it's been said here already, but I smell Fyre.

The sheer inability of people to grasp that live nation, the biggest concert promoter in the country (world?), is not anywhere near the type of organization that would pull a Fyre Fest is pretty baffling.

This is going to be a very well run, overpriced with ridiculous fees, nostalgia cash grab for promoters and bands that will be a ton of fun for everyone who gets to go.

My one goth emo-ish student loves Poppy apparently lol. I have no idea who they are other than what she's told me

Poppy is wonderful and will likely put on a hell of a show.

Cutting out bands formed after 2015 would solve a lot of time constraints...

I think people are confused at the logistics of it. Day N Vegas was at the same location and they had to cram three stages on the property. They had half the amount of artists performing (in each day) and 2 of 3 stages had people performing at any given time over 12 hours and their sets were 20-45 minutes.

That would only cut out like 6 bands… that I’m sure already will have a minimal set time

after looking at the poster again I’m not sure it even cuts out 6

The Maine deserve a bigger logo on the poster.

Over/Under how many bands Travis will be drumming for?

my guess would be just Avril and maybe Jxdn since I think literally all the bands there have set drummers and don’t have any songs saying featuring Travis

    and Lil Huddy*.

With Jxdn and Huddy there, I'm really shocked MGK wasn't included on this

The Killers will play vol. 5 or 10 of the festival hahh. That looks painful though, I can't stand choosing between bands and I'd presume there's going to be a lot of that.

I guess the upside of only having 3 stages is there probably won't be that many conflicts

This feels like an emo fyre fest, I will be waiting for the competing Netflix/Hulu documentary on it.

Wouldn't be surprised if this 65 band bill ends up being around 50 when all is said and done. Bands will drop for personal reasons, covid exposure, etc. Either way this is ambitious and sick as hell if it gets pulled off properly.

Indeed. Except for the fact that the biggest concert promoter in the world is putting it on (as opposed to amateurs) and it is located in Las Vegas (rather than a remote island), which is known worldwide for hosting events precisely like this, it feels exactly like an emo fyre fest.

I said this on Twitter, but I feel like they just designed this festival to be the live music equivalent of an iPod on shuffle.

This, all these comparisons to fyre fest are just stupid. This is by Live Nation in Vegas. Not to mention a huge portion of those bands now are nowhere near that popular anymore in the grand scheme of things. Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Hawthorne Heights, Mayday, Thursday, a huge portion all play small venues now with a capacity in Atlanta of like 600. Thursday played to a crowd of like 250 here before COVID when they were doing their albums tour. Last time I saw We The Kings headline in Pensacola, FL there were like 70 people there, same as Hawthorne Heights.
