Completely serious. What is a typical Fearless release?

Maybe one that wasn't already delayed a year

I’d say they usually have a lot more of a push with their roll outs, especially with things like PR and features. This felt more like Underoath doing their thing with no frills tbh. Also the fact that it’s self produced also makes me think it’s less likely there are b sides, but could be wrong. Or maybe they’ll record some stuff later for it.

I mean there is this massive elephant in the room that has caused multiple albums to be delayed.

I mean two elephants, easily. Ability to tour and supply chain issues/vinyl plants being backed up.

The biggest being COVID which in turn, trickles down to these factors.

Finally got to this. It'll take me a bit to figure out where this stands in relation to LITSOS, Define, and Disambiguation, but this is very good. Immediately better than TOCS and leagues beyond Erase Me.

a very high number of albums released today still get a deluxe edition 6 months to a year down the road, that's not a practice that has faded whatsoever regardless of how "dated" it may seem to your specific listening habits. i would put money on a deluxe with one or two b-sides coming out within the calendar year.

Hard to imagine what this rollout looks like without Covid but the lack of heavy promo like erase me had suggests to me that this will be a “quieter” album cycle on the marketing front, meaning no deluxe/bonus (especially for a band that only released bonus tracks once, for a record they were practically begging people to preorder more vinyl for) or music videos (I want real music videos but they’re becoming increasingly rare)

Still waiting on my vinyl shipping notification, but I've been rinsing this since it came out. Erase Me never fully clicked with me, but I've been swooning over this from the first play.

This record is making me want to revisit Disambiguation and Diamond Eyes by Deftones a ton

Really interesting podcast Aaron just did. Around the 27 minute mark he talks about the headspace everyone was at when making Voyeurist and he goes into what it was like making Erase Me by comparison.

He also goes into why they self produced and why Aaron sang a lot less on Erase Me. Really good stuff.

Loving this album and excited to see these songs live. I wonder who will be replacing ETID... bummed they won't be on the tour anymore.

that and the chorus of we’re all gonna die were my most “anticipated” moment coming out of digital ghost and was happy to see it hits just as hard on the record.

on a related note, bummed the vinyl didn’t come with a lyric booklet or anything

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Just listened for the first time with headphones and I caught on to so much more nuanced sounds compared to just listening in the car. Also I'm just now somehow noticing the animated artwork on Apple Music that looks cool as shit.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned or is common knowledge, I’ve been wrapped up in the ETID stuff, but I received my Target exclusive vinyl the other day and the sticker lists “Numb” as the next single.

I got the deluxe “animated” cover version from the band’s store, too, and that one makes no mention of singles on the sticker.
