  1. I totally forgot watching through the Scream series for the first time was one of the things I've been meaning to do. I guess I'm in no hurry to rush to the theater right now, though

Yeah, I’d stay out of the Scream thread if you haven’t seen it

That seems like it should be a given

I wouldn’t go that far, especially just a day after it released. After a few weeks or whatever, sure, but I’d hope most people would spoiler anything major at first

After seeing Scream, my mind is totally obssessed with the franchise again. I might rewatch the MTV series this weekend just for more content.

my irrational ranking (ask me tomorrow and it's different)

I liked the first scream series but the second one was obvious from the get go so I couldn't get into it

Nah, because there's posters in there that just refuse to use spoiler tags for a few days

Just got out of scream and I need like 3-5 business days to process this emotionally

Also this youth shouted "who's wes?!" After the dedication at the end and we were so collectively fed up with that pack of youths the guy behind us was like "....the director" but his tone made it much funnier irl don't put disrespect on wes' name smh I'm too fragile rn

Yeah, gonna echo the adoration for My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To. Gripping and quite heart-wrenching at times. Love examples of film that prove you don’t need a big budget and flashy effects to provide an effective story.

I found Freaky for $7 at Target.

A nice add to the collection.

The Boy Behind the Door? About halfway through and I’m having a hard time suspending so much disbelief tbh.

I'm bored at work. who do y'all think is the actual, singular, all-time scariest figure in horror?

me personally - I'd rather be in a cage match with Jason or Michael than ever bump into Billy from Black Christmas on the street. that dude haunts me

  24. For me, I'm going to say The Blair Witch. Growing up in a rural area, it's exactly the kind of story we'd tell each other to get riled up before trekking around the woods, and to this day, it's supernatural things happening in the dark (and especially outside) that really freak me out. I don't think a lot of supernatural films genuinely frighten me these days, but the fact that you never see the Blair Witch but know that it's there...it's a perfect storm of great storytelling, flawless execution, and exactly the kind of thing that can keep me up at night.

oh yeah, good one. I think the idea of the Blair Witch is infinitely scarier than the actual movie. but the image of the dude standing in the corner and facing the wall always pops up in my mind and freaks me out
