To be fair, none of these Coachella headliners scream Bonnaroo though. At least with The Chicks and Stevie Nicks (and sorta Tool) it kinda feels like they've kept the original spirit of their festival. It's bookings like MGK, J Cole and Roddy Rich that make it seem like they're having a major identity crisis.

 

I don't love or hate him, I'll watch some from afar

 

Harry is a pretty exciting get to me, I do just hope he switches it up a little from the arena tour. Lots of fun guests he could bring out so I'm on board.

Initial thoughts - I can't believe how low Carly Rae Jepsen and Spiritualized are on the lineup. Either those are odd placements, or I'm very out of touch.

 

My Coachella days (2013-2014-2015) are likely behind me but holy shit I love this lineup. What a wonderful undercard.

 

Had that same thought about Carly Rae. Also surprised Hot Chip is in a smaller font than, like, Finneas.

I still remember back in 2013 Consequence of Sound had a video where they were asking people on the street who they think would be the following year's Coachella headliner, and these two guys were convinced that Hot Chip was gonna blow up and be a headliner. Looks like whatever hype they had 10 years ago is gone lol

 

Carly Rae seems so out of place on Friday.

 

Hot Chip's sunset set at Coachella 2013 is one of my favorite sets of music ever. The vibe during I Feel Better was so fucking euphoric.
