I agree with that, but for me it overstayed its welcome

 

That's fair for sure I'm sure it can do so if you don't do what I did (spend 2 straight weeks ignoring the purpose of the game and playing mahjong instead)

 

I don't understand how people play single player FPS campaigns, you legit just run behind shit and shoot things and hit switches. That's it.

 

What game are you referring to? Cuz there’s a lot of FPS campaigns that would disagree Daniel?

I know! That's what everyone says and when I play halo I get bored of just run, hide, shoot, kill, repeat.

Haha, I love older turn based JRPGS that are 70 hours long and most people can't comprehend that so that's probably the same feeling I have toward FPS games.

I'm really not trying to bring down the genre either! It's just literally what goes on in my mind whenever I try one out.

 

Truthfully, I feel that there is something strongly therapeutic about just shooting down enemies, and I don't mean in an aggressive kind of sense, but more of a "turn my brain off and not think about anything" kind of sense. It's repetitive, but the repetition is soothing. I hope this makes sense.

It's the same feeling I get from shoot-em-ups, actually.

 

FPS RPG's legit the only FPS games I can play lmao

Good news then, because almost every FPS released in the last few years has RPG elements or is a full on RPG!

 

Shmups are the best. Mindless fun.

 

And strategy/customizing which is a blast!


Grinding is no where near as bad as it used to be, every JRPG these days has some type of fast forward mode, a lot of the ports of older ones have it added as a QoL addition as well.

I fucking used to dedicate a whole night to grinding back in the day and loved every minute of it.

No idea why I did.

I still love it tho.
