I tried thinking of instances where an entire crowd has been pretty insufferable and I can't really think of anything too extreme for the most part...

But in general, the crowds tend to be way worse at shows where people think "moshing" is a necessity, regardless of what the music sounds like. So it tends to rear its head at the more mainstream pop-punk shows. I think that's mostly because it brings in people who aren't necessarily into a lot of music from the genre.

Kinda jives with what everyone in this thread has been saying for the most part, TBH.

EDIT: Although most recently, the Alkaline Trio fans on that Bad Religion/Alkaline Trio co-headliner were wildly annoying at the MA stop on that tour. The whole "this is my favorite band of all-time and therefore I deserve to be right up-front regardless of when I got here and I will push/shove to get there and I am owed this because I have a band tattoo" kinda vibe was in full effect. Hard. I saw multiple fights break out over where people were standing... And I was toward the middle of the venue!

I don't know about any of the other dates, but the Trace Mountains Cleveland show (Jan. 25) has been cancelled.

Chaos and Carnage 2022 is gonna be announced today. It’s Suicide Silence, Carnifex, Lorna Shore, Upon A Burning Body, and Angelmaker

Upon A Burning Body are still a thing? I thought they called it quits after that fake kidnapping stuff.

This is one of the most random lineups I have ever seen...

Oh And I saw Silversun Pickups at the very bottom if the poster and I was like wtf but then I looked closer and it was "The Silverado Pickups"... And then I looked up and Silversun Pickups were actually up there.

Never thought Metallica would play Bottlerock, but then I remembered, ANYTHING goes at Bottlerock lol

This festival is so strange. It caters to the NorCal whyte wine-drinking crowd...it makes sense booking a headliner for the moms, dads, and kids. They really nailed it with Metallica, Pink, and TOP for the entire family lol.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

worst crowds Ive been in: Billy Talent in 2013, AFI in 2014 (although Pup opened that show before they became a more recognized name lol)

best: maybe the times Ive seen Circa/TWY? each time has gotten rowdy but like not overwhelmingly so as far as my experiences went

3 day ga passes for beach life are $420 plus fees. Single day are $160. I don’t think bottlerock is that expensive and lolla last year was cheaper and it’s s extra day. Wonder what lolla prices will look like this year tho

Seeing festival prices makes me appreciate how cheap Riot Fest is in comparison. Their 3-day passes are just a little more than a single day for Beach Life

literally most of this thread will not care (which is unfortunate but whatevs) but that Angel/Julien/Sharon tour is legit tour of the year

three indie powerhouses teaming up to tour will be special and I'm sure we'll get fun collabs on stage between the three out of them

I’ve never actually listened to any of them (but I do need to change that. Just haven’t gotten around to it), but the moment I saw this tour I instantly recognize how big of a deal that tour is. Looks awesome!

The Dayseeker tour stop in Chicago was moved from the Subterranean to the Bottom Lounge due to high demand. Are they really that big?
