Its the Miami 2-step. Draft a QB who can actually get it done...fail to develop them to that level...let them go somewhere else where they flourish

Spend big at tight end, draft a receiver at 4, draft another tight end in the second or third round

    let’s roll

Oh yeah, Eagles fans and media love him. He was at the forefront of 4th down decision-making in 2016/2017, which led to a lot of excitement from players, media, and fans. Players liked him and he was a big culture guy. Only downside is that fans and media were critical of his coaching staff decisions and his offensive scheme in 2019/2020. Some of that was blamed on a lack of talent, but the offense just wasn’t moving forward in a positive direction. Seemed stuck in the mud, which is unsurprising in hindsight when you consider Wentz’s epic collapse, but some film guys notably criticized his offensive scheme and design apart from Wentz for being pretty basic west coast stuff.

The only reason it would make me sad is because he already worked with one dysfunctional organization where there were very notable power struggles. Seems like going to Miami could present yet another one and I think he should be granted more autonomy, which is ultimately why he allowed himself to get fired in Philly. He was tired of constantly being told what to do and never being given the reigns, for better or worse.

I wish Doug the best and I will always go to bat for him. I think taking a year off was probably good for him and most of the guys on the staff he proposed last year before getting fired all have those positions in Indy so I’m sure his staff would look a little different. With that said, I’d like to see him with a team that’s heading toward a fresh start at HC/GM like Minnesota or Chicago as opposed to going to a team with a questionable GM and ownership like Jacksonville or Miami.

    Yeah but who plays qb?

Really though, they need to upgrade those two ol spots badly so they need a big center or rg in fa.

    Jaguars
    Vikings
    Broncos
    Raiders
    Dolphins
    Bears
    Giants
    Texans

is probably how I would rank the opening.

Broncos are 100% the better opening than Minnesota.

Assuming that Flores was the reason Watson wanted to go to Miami, if the Panthers become the Watson frontrunners and the Texans pull off a Watson to Panthers trade it's possible for them to pick #3 and #6 this draft and fill out fast. I do think that job is being underrated

Of course that's a lot of things that have to actually happen

I'm just not sure why the Vikings are so high, especially when you have the grenade of Cousins and his contract to deal with

If Flores wanted Watson and Watson wanted Flores. Just go to Houston

There’s a lot of openings and you named two of the ones I have lower. Ninny’s roster is far better than Miami’s. What does Miami have to entice me? A nice location, a young QB most of football doesn’t believe in? A stud CB the remaining GM has had beef with and will probably trade at some point. Greeeeeat lol

But now Davis Mills is proven at least good enough to start so what, flip Davis Mills? I guess they could do that

But I think the bridge between Watson and McNair is completely burned

is it? I'm not sure I agree. I would say that they are on par with each other. Dolphins D personnel is definitely better, the Vikings' O personnel is defintiely better

if the Dolphins had an even COMPETENT OL or running game, they would have won like 2-3 more games. Even with this roster.

I just think they have a relatively solid roster and an easy 3-4 wins from playing in the NFC north. Holes need to be filled but they’re closer to a playoff roster than most teams with openings.

If the Dolphins had a competent GM Flores would be getting ready for a game this weekend.

How i would rank the HC openings/presumed openings if I were a candidate.

if the Jags kicker missed ONE of TWO 50+ yard FGs in the last 4 minutes of the game, the Dolphins would be getting ready for a game this weekend lol
