  2. Hopefully they're more accurate than "drug-sniffing" dogs, which are notoriously unreliable!!

    Didn't read the article tho

  3. It’s actually Dog the Bounty Hunter but just rebranded as Dog the Covid Hunter. I haven’t read the article though.

It’s actually a scripted sitcom about a Covid scientist who died and was reincarnated as a talking dog who can sniff out Covid. In their human life they were a huge Metallica fan so as fate would have it, he was able to talk his way on to the tour. I haven’t read the article though.

HelloThisIsDog, interesting user name... are you a Metallica fan by any chance? :chin:

Might be a bit off topic but I remember awhile ago there was a discussion in this thread about Chon's fanbase and some people said that they dislike them. What's so special about their fanbase that makes people hate them?

Also, since nothing is really going on in this thread anyway, where was the worst crowd you have ever seen and in what show?

    Things have changed.

Bayside fans, every show they're not headlining.

This is super accurate. I went to the Riot Fest aftershow they opened for NFG and there were a group of Bayside fans that said they were going stay up front and look as bored as possible for NFG because "Bayside should have headlined" I squeezed in between them and had a fucking blast tho

Worst crowd I remember was when Finch fans aggressively booing Tera Melos on the 2008 reunion tour. I get that Tera Melos is an acquired taste and not accessible compared to most emo bands of the time, but I felt awful for the band. Luckily they took it in stride and killed it. I’ve never seen such a negative reaction to an opener. An honorable mention would be Anti Flag fans booing Aiden when they opened for them. That was quite awkward.

    Things have changed.

I've seen them open for Anberlin, TBS, and The Starting Line and their fans were openly hostile to fans of those bands every time.

It’s funny because Bayside is one of my favorite bands, but their fans do suck. A lot of them scream for the same 5-6 songs off of Self Titled/TWW every time I see them regardless of opening or headlining. It’s led to the band catering to these casual fans and ignoring a lot of their discography on headliners because the crowd will be dead for songs that aren’t the staples.

Bayside fans are the absolute worst. They want to fight everyone. I stopped seeing them because their crowd just became too much. The Menzingers are becoming a close second.

Man, as a huge Bayside fan who’s seen them a number of times, I’ve never experienced anything like what’s being posted here. I guess that must be an American Bayside fan thing? Or maybe Toronto Bayside fans are just the good ones haha

Which is an absolute shame because like 4 years ago Menz fans / shows were hands down the best.

  16. I don't remember that experience seeing Bayside a lot in the neighborhood of '06-12, but I'm not shocked either.
After seeing my first Menzos show on LI late last year I can definitely see where that's coming from.

I've seen Bayside live like 3-4 times and they were never the openers and I don't recall anything bad about the crowd.

My favorite crowd was for Enter Shikari. I've seen them 3 times in Chicago and every time it felt like the crowd came to see a music show and enjoy it without starting shit.

The worst one in memory was probably the Lollapalooza aftershow with Limp Bizkit a few months ago.

    TW: Assault

Bowling for Soup opening for Sum 41 in Minneapolis a couple years ago was a fucking nightmare. Lots of dudes just ruthlessly shoving and fighting outside of the main mosh pit. Compounded by some awful dudes sexually assaulting crowdsurfers, it was fucking garbage. I think at least one dude had to be thrown out for being too violent.

The only “bad crowd” that comes to mind for me was Yellowcard at SLO Brew (old location) in San Luis Obispo, CA in 2015. The crowd was unnecessarily rowdy and seemed like everyone was just trying to rush the stage, even though it was a 300 cap venue. A lot of people were just shoving and pushing each other around for the fuck of it. Not even in a moshing way. People would just go up to a random person and just shove them. I didn’t get it…

I was talking to some dude after the show and he said someone grabbed his glasses and threw them across the venue for no reason. Not a good time. Yellowcard was good! But otherwise, not a good time

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

There was a massive brawl that broke out at a New Found Glory show in Detroit in 2014 - probably the worst experience I've had at a show.

Worst crowds I’ve ever been a part of (I don’t want to talk about it) were A Day to Remember crowds

Can also confirm bayside crowds are the worst even on headlining shows

Not an artist in particular, but man hip hop fans at Lollapalooza were some of the worst crowds I've seen. I was seeing White Reaper and lots of Jack Harlow (who played right after them at the same stage) were already pushing and shoving their way in.

I have some experience camping at festivals and shows, and while I was waiting for Modest Mouse and Foo Fighters the fans of G Herbo were not even moshing, just pushing and shoving against the barricade, its one of the few times that I was close to leave the barricade because of how rough the crowd was. Also, a friend that was camping for Miley Cyrus told me the Playboi Carti fans were also really bad, even some girl breaking her ankle.

I enjoy moshing every once in a while, but hip hop fans at Lolla were doing something totally different.
