The worst thing about glow on is I won’t be able to see them in a small venue again.

 

I went into Turnstile with Turnover in my head because of the name (i am very smart) and everything just clicked

 

That’s probably the dumbest fucking post ever on this site. And that’s saying a lot

 

I really liked Glow On for like the first 20 minutes or so and then I was like, wow they're really not going to switch it up at all are they

 

welcome to a normal hardcore record.

edit: also a part of the t&s>glow on crowd. i'll even go a step further and say nonstop feeling > glow on. glow on's still good though and turnstile deserve all the attention and praise they get.

I was just about to say.... both the Blood Orange songs happen after the 20 minute mark, at the least

 

I thought the worst Bloc Party take I would see would be, like, claiming Intimacy was a good album. Hoo boy did I underestimate.

 

If anything, this thread unintentionally reminds me of bands / albums I should check out that I never got around to. Today’s winner is Bloc Party.

 

My only hot Bloc Party take is Louise Bartle > Matt Tong but they’re both fantastic

 

The first bloc party album is an all timer.

 

Trashing Intimacy reminded me that I did love that one song “Signs” on it and now went back and listened a whole bunch of times. Still amazing

 

Whenever Intimacy is mentioned I'm obligated to bring attention to the absolutely massive solo in Trojan Horse.

 

I don't like Bloc Party but I must have listened to that album a thousand times as a kid because I lived with my sister at the time and my brother in law played it in the car constantly

 

Thinking any bloc party album is an "all timer" pretty much proves what I'm saying here. You're overrating them and part of it likely stems from non-musical reasons, whether you realize it or not.

I listen to Four more regularly than Silent Alarm these days. Love both of those albums so much though. For musical reasons.
