Damn couldn't make it one show without getting covid.. I assume a few more at the minumum will postpone

 

I got a MCS ticket for $6 on Stubhub, now let's wait for the rescheduled dates

 

There’s something really unsatisfying about knowing that them playing “Together We’ll Ring In The New Year” at midnight won’t be happening

 

Makes me wonder if it's because one of them have COVID, or if it's just anxiety about playing those few shows because of New Years Eve? Justin was super anxious during the Grand Rapids show.

 

The future freaks me out

 

I don't have any national tours on my radar for the next couple months, but my band's had to cancel our last two shows due to positive cases in our band or the other groups. Feel like we're just waiting out for the next ones to cancel too.

Silver lining, 3/4 of us have already had their Omicron breakthrough without crippling symptoms and should be able to breathe a little easier for the rest of the Omicron wave.

 

** NOTE - THIS IS PURELY ANECDOTAL **

Everyone should get their booster. I was with a group of people and one of them got Covid and the only people in that group who also got it did not have their booster. The ones with a booster did not catch it. I know it’s still possible but it seems much more unlikely. Get ya booster dinguses!

 

This. I think venues should start updating that your last shot has to be within 6 months to enter and it would encourage more people to get boosted. It’s spreading like crazy and the only people I know getting it aren’t boosted either.

this show will kinda be a small fest.. not sure if seth has fully announced it yet. but i’ve seen it and it’s decently stacked.

Don't we usually get summer fest lineups around early/mid January? Like Coachella/Bonnaroo?

I'm expecting a lot of tour postponement announcements the next 2 weeks. I'm supposed to see Tool in 2 weeks in Sac but I'm pretty sure the tour will be postponed.

 

Yeah I’m hoping it gets postponed. Really not 100% comfortable in an area yet, after thinking about it

It’s funny, if you told my 16 year-old self that in about ten years, Tool would be playing about 10 minutes away from his adult self and that he decided not to go, my teenage self would be furious lol

Ontario just changed their guidelines regarding large gatherings (no more than 50% or 1,000 people in a venue, whichever is less). However, they haven't said how long this will go for and there's no info from any of the venues as to whether shows are cancelled or not? There's a ton of shows in Toronto in the next 3wks and ticketholders are just kinda being left in the dark by the venues/promoters.

Park City, Utah is where the Sundance Film Festival is held every year. Last year, they did it all virtually, but this year they decided to give people the option of virtual or in person. Today it was announced that about 1 in every 25 Park City residents has tested positive for COVID. Sundance is supposed to start at the end of January. I can't imagine that they won't cancel everything that's in-person.
